Re: Official 2021 NBA Draft Thread
I really want Jalen Green (aka Young T-Mac) as well as an new offensive minded head coach to take over the team.
Fultz, Cole
Green, Ross
Isaac, Bacon
Chuma, Chief
Vuc, Bamba
Fill out the roster with an AG trade and let Evan walk.
As Green blossoms into an elite, do it all offensive weapon requiring a double team, imagine Fultz driving+dishing with his money midrange game. Imagine Vuc not having to be Superman. Chuma is already a solid 3D guy early. Isaac just needs to stay healthy.
Just get us a coach with the creative vision to run it.
I don’t see Cade falling to us, but I’m really settling into Green as my guy.

Im with you. At this point Green is my 2nd best fit for us. He is that alpha scorer we need.

Hopeful =/= Realistic
Yes, Cade is my top choice. Once that fails to become a reality, I’m quickly turning my focus to Green.
Luckily, even if my Plan B doesn’t work out we have 3 Plan C options I would love as well. Please just let SOMETHING good happen!

Re: Official 2021 NBA Draft Thread
Watching the FSU game today. Not a great game for the Noles but I do enjoy watching Scottie Barnes and his all around game.
I’m trying to think of where his game would do well.
I wonder if pairing with SVG in New Orleans in the Hedo role (sans Shooting) for modern small ball roster alongside Zion and Ingram would be fun?
If his spot up shooting improves he could be dynamite for that roster ...

Barnes to the Warriors with the Wolves pick (which would have to make it out of the top 3) makes a ton of sense to me.
He could learn from Draymond and his game plays up so well next to Curry and a healthy Klay.

Yeah, that suggestion has been offered quite a few times (probably by you, lol). That makes a ton of sense and I fully agree. He slides into that roster and that role perfectly in Golden State.
I couldn’t help but watch this game and consider other options. He is an interesting prospect. If he could shoot he would be the #1 pick, IMO. He is that gifted elsewhere.

TBF, with the rules right now.. any of the top 5 ( I think??? correct me pls ) has more or less the same chance to get #1 right? And I think AS OF NOW, we are one of the leaders of the pack.

Would be nice to add a mid first rounder to add a shooter like Kispert on a cheap team controlled deal. Spacing for our team will still be an issure no matter who our top pick is. Evan for all his warts helps in that area.

Tankathon breaks it down well.
Botton 3 teams have equal odds (14%). We currently sit at 4th which drops slightly to 12.5% of landing the #1 overall pick.
@RookieStar, go ahead an run the Simulator a few times and take note of how often Orlando lands the #1 pick. It does happen ... but at just a shade better than 1/10 I will turn my attention to players other than Cade.

First off, I personally believe that we will catch and overtake HOU in the standings so we will be in the top-3 ( hopefully).
Secondly I kinda did 5x..lol I dunno how but 3x I got ORL winning #1. Just for laughs though....

Re: Official 2021 NBA Draft Thread
Moody with another big game. This may end up being a first 6 picks draft. Moody may jump ahead of Suggs, Green, and Mobley.
Not sure why his coach, Eric Musselman hasn't had another chance to coach an NBA team.

Bouknight looks smooth on offense. He makes quick/decisive moves and can shoot off the dribble.
BJ Boston had a decent game also. He probably needs another year. He was assisted on almost all his shots. Not able to create for himself very well.
Im gonna enjoy watching all these guys in pressure games over the next month.

Re: Official 2021 NBA Draft Thread
I like Moody more. He's up to 39% from three after this game and he'll probably end the season well into the 40s. He's a great shooter, and he's still only 18. That's why I think he'll make a late push into the top 5.RookieStar wrote:Sooooo.... moody or bouknight? in case we fall lol

They're calling the Moody block at the end of the game, the block of the year. I guess it was at a clutch time.

Is Corey Kispert the most underrated prospect this year? Seriously, the best player on the best team must be worth at least a mid-first-round selection.
Kispert screams "The Next Dan Majerle" to me.

I thought it was Moody's block, I guess it was Lebron and one of the Razorbacks fans posted it.
