I'm going to say it even though I love all of the money he spends...

Rich Devos sucks as an owner. He is not involved and the people he entrusts with his franchise are a joke. I never want him to sell but I do want him to hire someone just to fire Otis.

Magic FO needs some major rethinking to do

Sources: Bulls Will Pursue Howard
The Chicago Bulls will turn their attention toward Dwight Howard, offering a package centered around young talent, draft picks, and cap relief, according to sources.

Howard requested a trade to the Nets, with the Lakers his alternate choice.

Magic general manager Otis Smith said he will consider all offers.

“We wouldn’t be who we are if we don’t take a look around all 29 teams and try to make the best deal for the Orlando Magic,” Smith said.

If you mean the Clippers then yes, they can offer better. If you are referring to the Lakers offer then you are wrong

You guys hearing Jarrod Rudolph on ESPN 1040? He sounds convinced Dwight will stay if we:

A. Don't trade him.

and

B. Make competent moves.

He sounds kinda angry, actually....

I know he is friends with Dwight.........he is really speaking on his behalf.

It sounds like Dwight would still be willing to stay, and wouldn't mind if Otis was here, just wants to be involved and wants smarter moves.

Rudolph is making good points.

We don't fire SVG unless we can get Phil Jackson - and that won't happen.

Dwight doesn't want Otis fired (according to Rudolph). He wants other changes (besides players), what else could he mean?

Don't forget how Dwight blasted SVG in the Esquire interview this summer too. I have also heard myself from people close to SVG, that he WILL NOT return after this year.

Coming from the person who thinks Orlando's future is brighter with Gasol/Bynum over Noah/Deng/Gibson/Bobcat's lottery pick/Chicago's 1st rd pick/Orlando's lottery pick/cap space.........I am going to side with Kyler and Rudolph on this one

I don't know about that. Besides really not wanting to help LA out, I find it quite strange that some users want Bynum. If you think Dwight is immature, wait until you see Bynum commit stupid flagrant fouls. Lets be realistic, he is one dumb foul away from being suspended 10 games. That does not even factor in his very questionable durability. Same thing goes for Yao Ming: Every year I heard fans saying "next year will be the year he will be healthy". How'd that end again? So, a big NO from me to a package from the Lakers.

I'm convinced that even though Dwight has asked for a trade, his heart is not 100% behind this decision. There is no reason to panic and trade him immediately. Let the season begin and see how we perform. We can still trade him at the deadline or in the offseason. In the meantime we buy ourselves some time to maybe improve the team enough to convince him to stay. Impossible to predict what happens between now and the trade deadline with other teams.

I just hope that our fanbase is smart enough to realize that there is no need to harass him as long as he is still wearing a Magic jersey and make his decision easier for him.
Back to the lottery...
