Croatian coach said Mario will explode now once he lost ~16 pounds, he wasn't wrong.

Btw, dunk ->

Quite disappointed with Mario's game.

Looks explosive, but I was hoping to see him improve his ball handling and getting stronger (not necessarily muscular).

Thanks for the updates on MH23. Was hoping he would have a breakout game!

Mario had a solid evening. Only thing that could redeem our performance is that the team arrived in Brazil a day before the game, so they might not be running on all cylinders (not that we have many of them :D )

Tonight a game against France? Maybe Evan will tweet some comments about it

He played ok, 9 points I think, nothing special stands out. Team definitely feels much better with him on the floor. When he got back in game in 4th quarter we stopped to bleed point difference.

Diaw or someone fell on back of his foot, gave me a scare. He limped a bit but walked it off and seemed fine afterwards.

5 points so far.

Croatia is not really good! How do you find any minutes for Ukic? He's like Chris Duhon...

The sad true is that Ukic is actually our best PG for last 10 years and our coaches are just conservative to try lineups without a standard PG.

Saric, Hezonja, Bender, Zubac, Zizic, Bogdanovic, Dukan, Rudes with few guys coming soon as first round (even lottery) picks in next two or three years- that's a lot of (at least fringe) NBA talent for a country of 4M people (approximately that much lives in LA only compared to USA) but not a single backcourt player in that list except maybe Hezonja but I see him more as a future SF than SG atm.

Still, loosing 16 pounds instead bulking up during the summer could mean he is trying to transform his body to become more suitable for SG role.

What I learned from those videos is Mario's name is pronounced... Hair zo yeah, or at least according to the announcer.

Mario won't play tonight against Serbia. Coach said he sprained his foot slightly, and will miss training for couple of days.

Croatian coach said so. I am not sure when he gained the weight, could be after the season? Bulk up while training to gain muscle mass?

That's the freshman 15 that all immigrants get.
"Overall, it's another world," Hezonja said. "Your culture. Obviously, the language. And food. I like the food, so I will stay here forever!"

Of all the foods he's tried during his short time in Florida, he said eggs Benedict is his favorite.

When a writer kidded with him to be careful not to eat too much food, like some sports writers, Hezonja offered a quick quip.

"Yeah," he said. "But I practice. You stay home!"

Again, Hezonja smiled.

I can’t stop eating American food. I love it. In Europe, everything comes in small portions. But here, you can’t stop. The portions are huge. It’s crazy.

My favorite restaurants in Orlando are Hillstone, The Cheesecake Factory, BJ’s Restaurant and Brewhouse, and Kasa Restaurant & Bar. It’s a famous local restaurant; they have everything. Me and EP have been exploring different places together, and I like steakhouses and Italian restaurants. My favorite pregame meal is pasta and tomato sauce.

That American cuisine probably got the best of Mario.

Mario has to be more disciplined with what he eats.

Pronounciation in English is Mario. In Croatian, nouns are heavily "declensed/inflected" , kinda like English does with some pronouns.

For example, "He saw me", or "I saw him". It's the same pronoun (he), however it changes. In Croatian most nouns change in this way unlike English where "Mario saw me" and "I saw Mario" does not change word Mario.
