Egor is Russian so I'd assume he's Orthodox.

The difference btwn an Orthodox & Non Denominational Christianity is very vast, practically a different religion in certain regards. They might butt heads more then find common ground

You're probably right, though just watching a few interviews Igor and JI, the things they speak about is very similar.... Back to the basketball though he does have a lot of talent, he wouldn't address the shooting problem but imo he's the best passer in the draft at 6'9

I would not be a fan of a Demin pick for this team.

Also JT Toppin going back to school for a 4 million dollar NIL deal. Think he was a 1st rounder. I feared NIL may take some depth from this draft. Also in part why I think a guy like Clayton will end up going earlier than we may expect.

I guess for me I will always go talent over fit, I personally have egor rated as a lottery pick.... If he's there at our pick I'd be surprised honestly

Yeah it's really not even just fit for me here, I think I'm just a bit lower on Demin. Feel like he is going to be a project and won't get the minutes here to show anything because of the logjam at forward and his lack of shooting.

I could be wrong though, would not surprise me if he ends up being good, has some NBA skills.

This. Root of religion is the same but there are plenty of differences.
Orthodox church leader isn't "common " Pope, they call him bishop from Rome. They have patriarch.
They also have different calendar, therefore their Christmas & New year aren't on same dates as Catholic Church. Easter dates line up every 4 years i think.
My first neighbours are orthodox, we often joked that we celebrated 2 Christmases ( sharing food, baking cookies etc). They don't even have christmas tree, they put decorations on oak branch.

Their priests can get married and have kids.

There is also theological difference in belief itself, like, in orthodox church, purgatory doesn't exist, whole concept of sin is different etc.

If we want to give Isaac praying buddy, Giddey is saving himself for marriage due his religion. Not saying we should

Dated, but still virgin. Allegedly.
I mean she was 16, he was 19-20, it's sounds worst than it is. Guy is very young. 22 y.o.

Yep we celebrate Christmas on January 7th.

7 Sacraments instead of 2, different interpretation of The Holy Trinity, how Church service is conducted, how Mary is perceived and Saints in general, more books recognized as Bible Canon, etc.

What's funny is one of Egor's comps is Giddey, which I can see

I'm in the camp that doesn't think we should get him, or really any forwards unless we plan to move atleast one of our forwards, if not 2 (TDS, Isaac, Jett, Houstan).

Even then, I dont think this is a favorable place for him to land, he needs a team where he gets playing time and can play through mistakes

I like the idea of a long playmaker…but not another multi-year, “hope it works out” development project…of course, if the promise of huge upside is there, we can use future frps to get the player(s) we need now. Generally, trading at least one of the picks for immediate help seems obvious this year.

he is a bit of a project but i believe the upside is real.....it's funny man while i think we're shifting into a team with expectations i'm not sure we're in "win now" mode....we have so many holes to plug in the boat...idk i guess i need to see what weltman does to improve the product....so saying we can't swing on prospects that may be a bit raw might be....putting the cart before the horse....lets actually get some more talent first

Walter Clayton Jr is now projected as low as 16 pick to late 20s. I feel his true value is somewhere there int he late teens to early 20s. Still a proponent that if we keep the denver pick, we need to take shot at him.

I don't think we're "contend now" but we certainly should have a mandate to "Improve NOW", specifically the efficiency of our offense. Obviously, every team wants to improve, but I mean immediate support for our best players should be the priority. Doesn't mean we can't obtain a guy for higher long-term upside as well (if they fall into our draft lap)...but if all we do is draft a prospect - I'll become a fan of whatever team Paolo demands to be traded to

If McNeeley falls, pick him. If not, pick Clayton.

If Payton and McNeeley are gone by our pick, cry.

16? Why do these figures keep changing? Last article I read was she was 17, Giddey was 19 and the girl crept/stole in a bar that was supposedly for 18 and above only. lol
