Re: Official Speculation & Free Agency Thread (Part V) NEW S
Kyler and Rudolph both took Otis and the Magic Front Office to task!
I agreed with everything they said... Otis needs to explain himself, and he needs to keep Dwight happy.. and so far, he hasn't done that... Magic FO can't rely on Dwight being loyal to the city and dealing with mediocre crap surrounding him on the court until he's 30 years old... he can't do that... Magic FO needs to take care of Dwight and get him help... and stop following the Cleveland Cavalier's playbook... some of these contracts and trades are questionable and unexplainable... Otis needs to explain himself and rethink what he's doing... they are right in saying that... DO SOMETHING, MAKE DWIGHT HAPPY... QUIT COASTING OFF OF DWIGHT'S LOVE FOR THE CITY AND HELP HIM

Sorry man, Otis already did too much damage to this franchise, he needs to go

+1. If that is really all it takes, besides some roster changes, than Otis and Stan have to go. It's not like we were letting go of future Hall of Famers.
Anybody listening to the interview care to elaborate what is being said?

Rudolph seems to be close to Howard. He is putting blame on everyone and saying what Dwight said. The problem is Dwight has asked to leave 2 times this week. He wants say in trades, but he has be involved in them. He is not the GM, he is a player. The Magic are trying to make the best moves they can. Winning is everyones goal. Focus on Free Throws and maybe our players can stay in rythem on O instead of stopping every other trip down to watch 2 poorly shot attempts.

The more and more I hear about Dwight the more respect I lose for him.
SVG is a top 5 coach in this league, and because Dwight doesn't like him personally he's blackmailing the organziation and is essentially saying "For there to be any chance of me staying, Stan has to go."
If I was the organization I'd tell Dwight to pount sand.
Keep SVG!

As much as I want to fire Otis, it would be a bad move at the moment to look for a new GM while trades are on everybody's mind.

Re: Official Speculation & Free Agency Thread (Part V) NEW S
Otis needs to RIGHT the ship... as much as I want Otis fired... he still has a chance to do something right ... he needs to make Dwight happy, end of story... get the job done and get this boy some real help on the court... tired of these bloated contracts w/ long years, mediocre players, over-the-hill players, wasteful spending, overrated jump shooters... basically no real star(s) for Dwight to take the pressure off himself every other night. ... that's all it is... Otis thinks his moves are golden and his ego doesn't want him to bend backwards for Dwight... I know the franchise shouldn't be dictated by Dwight... but look at the Lakers franchise... look at what they did to make Kobe happy... Kobe was almost one foot out the door until LA pulled Gasol out of their asses... Orlando has to start taking care of their own, and quit acting like we can coast off one person's greatness until they are fed up... keep Dwight happy, and get him some help... REAL HELP, that's All! .. Otis obviously has other plans in mind though... frustrating.

Rudolph said You DO NOT TRADE DWIGHT no matter what, he wants help and the reason he has one foot out the door is because the F.O treats him more like their Employee than their star asset.
Rudolph isn't as dumb as he portrays himself..

exactly... I want Otis fired... but now is not the time, and he still has a chance to save Dwight from leaving, as crazy as it sounds

How can people question giving Rashard Lewis a max deal if it's what it takes to get him here? He could have signed elsewhere for less and then what? What would we be saying if he signed with less for another east team and we had no one else to get. For the love of God people use common sense. WE MADE IT TO THE FREAKING FINALS AND ALMOST WON! THEN BACK TO THE CONFERENCE FINALS THE YEAR AFTER THAT. WE HAD ONE BAD FREAKING YEAR AND PEOPLE BEHAVE LIKE OTIS HAD DWIGHT IN A DUNGEON FEEDING HIM BREAD AND WATER FOR THE LAST 3 YEARS.We had one bad year! ONE! Are you kidding me?
NEW York just signed a 30 year old TYSON FREAKING CHANDLER for 15 million dollars a year? And this is supposed to be a GREAT move? Are You kidding me? And Otis gets his chops busted for signing Rashard Lewis to a max contract? All star Rashard Lewis who had three straight years of 20 pts per game and happened to be one of the best three point shooters in the game. A move that got us to the finals and somehow he's still getting called out for it? Is this the freaking Twilight zone or something?

I love you as a poster man but I have to dis-agree with you on this one.
The FO has bent over backwards to appease Dwight. We are a small market team spending like a big market team. Obviously some of the moves haven't worked out in our favor but for Dwight to act like the FO hasn't made an effort to keep him happy is insulting to my intelligence.
It's a cop out and he is playing the fans for stupid.

I've yet seen a package better than Dwight-Hedo for Bynum-Pau.
Bulls, Nets, Mavs have to get third parties involved if they want a chance.
Rudolph knows his stuff, even if he's annoying.

Trades I agree with the rest I dont. If you fire Otis now everyone will know that the Magic are in bad bad shape and will only give you lowball offers. Nobody would do serious trading with the Magic.

Bynum and Pau is a strong strong offer, you can flip either or both for some great picks and young talent.

I agree. That summer Dwight was hanging out with Lewis trying to get him here. Otis made sure it was a done deal. Otis and Stan are not complete idiots as everyone makes them out to be. We have had some blunders, but we also have won a ton of games.

Coming from the person who thinks Orlando's future is brighter with Gasol/Bynum over Noah/Deng/Gibson/Bobcat's lottery pick/Chicago's 1st rd pick/Orlando's lottery pick/cap space.........I am going to side with Kyler and Rudolph on this one
How many rings has the front court of Noah, Deng, Gibson won? Which is more likely to get better return, Gasol or Gibson and Deng? GTFO!

I could not agree with you more.
I've said all along that Dwight blaming the FO is a cop out.
HE DOESN'T WANT TO BE HERE. He is using ONE bad season as an excuse to leave and is using the front office as the straw man.
He is playing us fans for stupid because he still wants us to love him. He's the type of guy that HAS to be loved by everyone (LeBron is the same way).
I just hope he knows that Orlando fans will NEVER love him if he leaves. He will be HATED by Magic fans. People will not forgive him if he goes through with this.

As always, totally agree with this
Bynum&Gasol either gives us a good team or assets to get good picks or players in return

This is going to sound crazy
[http://basketball.realgm.com/tradechecker/saved_trade/5945259
The Nets need to be competive otherwise, Deron will walk next season. They would get ammensty Travis Outlaw and have money for a Center.
Sundiata Gaines and Stephen Graham are non-guaranteed. We will obviously get picks.
The Lakers get their man.
