Why do you **** on here do that? If you didnt like what I post quote me and address me, don't be a subliminal bitch.

D12/Crash/JJ/D-Will + Teletovic+TyShawn+Earl+Jrich+Reggie Evans = 9 players.

Would rather lose Dwight for nothing, get the cap space & a shot at a top-5 draft pick (because the team will be awful) than take a bad deal

Mannchild wrote:List of preference:

1. Trade Howard + contracts to Rockets for expirings, young players, draft picks

2. Trade Howard to Lakers for Bynum

3. Trade Howard to Hawks for Horford + Teague and picks

4. Let Howard walk and get cap space

5. Trade Howard to the Nets for Lopez's package

I don't see how we end up doing the Nets deal, makes no sense. One thing about the Lakers deal is i think it would be better for the Magic to take back an unextended Bynum rather than have him extend first. First of all, he will not extend before the end of the season because he leaves money on the table. Second, Bynum has given even indication that money and his role on the team will be his most important factors when choosing to sign somewhere next season. Magic can offer most money and to build around him, if we trade for him and we choose to he will re-sign with us. The last good point that makes getting him on an expiring contract is that we get to see how his knee holds up this season all while fielding offers for him. We could, re-sign him at the end of the season, let him walk and get cap space, trade him... lots of options here.

Also, if the Rockets are shy on making the first trade because they think Howard wont re-sign then we can just mix the first and second trade giving Bynum to the Rockets, Howard to the Lakers, and getting cap space and picks in return.

The moral of this story is that the movie Pearl Harbor was just absolutely awful.

I think our Gm would agree with you on this. The Nets deal **** us over bad. I'd rather let Dwight Walk.

Whatever. He isnt going to Brooklyn unless he's traded there. If Hennigan is as wise beyond his years as indicated then if Houston does have deal in place, he takes that one. Also, I'm starting to appreciate the let Dwight walk rather than take a maxed out brook lopez front and worthless picks front.

Soo the Big Four makes them automatically championship material? Lol? Don't get me wrong Orlando's roster needs some work, but I don't see the hype in Brooklyn's Roster with the addition of Dwight Howard.

If you're saying D12/Crash/JJ/D-Will would not be a contender than you're borderline delusional. Horford is one of the most skilled big men in the league - put him on the Nets when Lopez put up 20+ PPG because he was force fed the ball and Horf would have been a 20 and 10 player as well. Hell, just last season he average nearly 16/10/4 (that's assists for those of you following at home) despite playing on a team with the idiotic Josh Smith and Joe Johnson.

I'm not saying Horford is the answer, either, but I'd MUCH rather have him that Lopez.

dtown8 wrote:i just wonder which of the two scenarios Magic fans would prefer ?

Nets offer: Lopez and picks for Dwight
the Nets offer a 20ppg center, but the sign and trade of Lopez will whip out the Magic's cap space.

Celtics offer: Fab Melo and two draft picks for Dwight (rental)
the Celtics offer is low but will enable the Magic to have cap space for 2013 and 2014, and gives the Magic a better chance to tank in 2013.

so it is basically Brook Lopez vs Cap Space

We will have cap space even without a trade and I'm not impressed with Fab Melo.
And why would we entertain a trade that makes the Celtics instantly contenders while giving us nothing back..

its Fab and two low first round draft picks (if Dwight walks from Boston then the 2014 pick could be lotto) along with the cap space

it makes the Celtics instant contenders for one year, to go up against Ray Allen and the Heat

You need 12 players minimum, so you can continue to think small if you want. Neither of those dudes have proved anything except Howard and Wallace. Johnson is a 6 time all star but come on, the guy is not a player that has "KILLER INSTINCT" and neither is HOWARD. The only player on that team that'd have the KILLER INSTINCT is D WILL. Miami has several guys with the killer instinct mentality. So Does OKC. The Spurs have more guys with the mentality for crying out loud.

NOT only that, I didn't say they would contend, but thats not a championship team. Without a bench and some good gelling amongst the 4 scorers they would have, they will not be winning a championship.

If my choices are..

D12 For Horford & Teague
OR
D12 + J.Brick + Dudu Duhon + Q.Brick For Lopez + Expirings + 3 1st Round Picks

I'll take the BK deal. I'm not gonna sit on a bunch of bad contracts with Horford (who's playoff career average is 11pts & 8 Rebounds) while keeping me the 10th seed every year....

If the Nets get Howard, those first round picks would be near the end of the first round anyways, so who cares. How often do good players fall far into the draft? Very, very rarely. The chances that those picks would be anything of substance are slim to none.
