Another guy moving up draft boards is chunky Orlando native Brice Sensabaugh. 58% from 2, 45% from 3, he doesn't really pass it that well but in the video below he has 7 assists

They are a completely different team as of late, and it’s taking 71 points from Donovan Mitchell to bring them down. I have them making the play in and winning out that series to move into playoff contention.

they have players that always have injury issues. due for another starter going down with injury

This is really the only “positive” outcome in terms of the pick. I’ll never wish an injury on a player but if one of their “stars” went down, you are right

Even if the Bulls pick will be in the 15-20 range the Magic will be able to get a good rotation player.

Smith from NC State
Hendricks from UCF
Sensabaugh from Ohio State
Filipowski from Duke
Whitehead from Duke
Murray from Iowa

A lot of possibilities.

I would love to see him play with Banchero and Wagner.

The Magic need also help at PG.
Fultz, Anthony and Suggs are not the answer.

May be Fultz could lead the bench as a 6th man.

I really like Amen's vision,quickness and passing.
What speaks against him is the shooting and competition.

Same…we have such glaring needs, it’s easy to get tunnel vision. I’m honestly not that juiced about Wemby (but I understand you’d have to take him)

Who would you draft with the Magic pick?
And who with the Bulls pick?

Not really sure at this point...but I really like Howard's mixtape - pulling up fearlessly & with consistent (if not Ray Allen-ish) form, going to the rim. I can say that I'd trade both picks for Scoot (obviously assuming we don't get some crazy lotto luck). Wemby is the runaway #1 I guess...but, to me, after Victor, there's Scoot and then a big group of who knows? Scoot looks Ja-like in his explosiveness and, especially, his mentality. I think he'll have a huge impact from Day 1.

The good news is there are a lot of wings in our range, and we have (barring a trade) two shots. Generally speaking, Highest ceiling Guard (PG or SG) with highest pick and best pure shooter still on the board (Dick,Howard?) with the second.

I think that, even if we had to add the DEN pick to our two (to move up to #2), if we came out with Scoot...
Scoot/Cole
Suggs/Harris
Franz/Bol/Houstan
Paolo/Moritz
WCJ/Isaac That's a LEGIT Big 3 with 3 others with realistic (if things go really well) all-star potential, IMO (Suggs, WCJ, Isaac)

...I'd really consider waiving (or trading) the rest (Fultz, Bamba, Ross, Okeke, RJ...) to take one big FA bite at a shooter like Cam Johnson or some other stud SG who can spread the floor and play D. A lot of this vision also depends on Isaac having a role at 4/5. That's, IMO, a strong offer for Scoot and we'd still have a load of cap space and all of our own picks moving forward. Obviously, much depends on where we land and who lands at #2.

I think the Magic need to be super aggressive in their efforts to move up to 2 for Scoot if they don't hit the lottery.

Offer your own pick, the Bulls pick, next year's first with light protections and anyone on the roster not named Franz or Paolo. Take on bad money, whatever it takes.

Figure it out. Make an offer someone can't refuse.

I'm with you. Big Threes are a bit out of fashion because of resource constraints but if you can do it organically through the draft it could be sustainable.

I basically made this same suggestion weeks ago and was met with a barrage of “no team is trading out of the top 2” replies.

But I agree. Scoot- Franz-Paolo. That is your core. Make it happen whatever the cost and figure out the rest later.

No one is trading No. 1.

But I think there are a few teams in the lottery right now who I think would at least consider trading No. 2. Mainly the ones with established young point guards.

Charlotte, Detroit, Oklahoma City, Atlanta are the ones I think would at least think about moving off the 2nd pick.

Atlanta has their backcourt set but need a better roster around Trae.

Would taking back on of their bloated big man contracts while sending over their pick of the litter among Bol, WCJ, Chuma and even Suggs/Cole + our two FPRs this year get them to jump?

They are rumored to potentially have a problem with keeping Trae looming. If they land #2 we should be on the phone. I just know we wouldn’t be the only ones calling and doubt they would enjoy working within the division.

Soooo.. is everyone going with my line of thinking? Where we prefer Scoot or Vic? Cuz I have been on that train for a while now.

Anyhoo... Im watching MICH vs MSU right now to check on what's up with j.Howard. He seems to be able to move quickly. Can keep up with the shorter and quicker guards in the NCAA.

However, I personally am through with drafting high picks for defensive guards. I feel we already have that with Suggs. Me want offense and this game, Howard hasn't shown it to me/

Whitehead will probably rise after today. He rose his averages to 41/36/93. He's a 6'6" guard that doesn't turn 19 until August.

Villanova is 8-7 and 5 of their losses came when Cam was out.

He's actually the opposite as far as I know. His offence is getting him drafted and his defence is an area he needs to improve.

Before this season, Whitehead was i the top5 talks.. then injuries happened and he dropped out. Time for him to rise up if he puts in work
