could we? we havent been able to develop a 3 pt shooter in almost a decade have we? we kept drafting athletic guys that couldnt shoot well and they all left Orlando still not being able to shoot well
Cole and Suggs both jumped over .50 this season, didn't they? They've both improved every season.

Someone on here a while back said that Orl signed a new shooting coach during the season. Was that true?

No Lively for me. Drafting a def. big in the lottery is a mistake almost every time & waste of a asset. Most of the good defensive bigs over the last decade were drafted late in the 1st round or the 2nd. You can find those guys there almost every year. Dont want to draft the next Okongwu like the Hawks did in there last trip to the high lottery. Give yourself as many chances as possible to draft the 3rd star or at least a potential 2 way/3&D wing.

Tbh I probably wouldn’t take him at 11 either, but I could at least see a scenario where that makes sense.
Who would you take over him? Everyone says they want a player at 6 that can start. Keyonte could start. He has a more well-rounded game than Harris or Suggs at SG. Ainge could take him at 9, or Ujiri could trade for the 10th pick and take him.

That would also throw the lottery out of whack, and a player would fall to 11.

7. Walker
8. Black
9. Ausar
10. Dick
11. Hendricks, Cason, Hawkins, Smith, or Bufkin.

It's possible that Dick, Black, or Ausar are the ones that fall. I really don't want a twin, but I'd rather take a risk at 11.

I do think Black has the most star potential of that group, but he doesn't fit our team.

I think Keyonte climbs up the mock draft rankings and we end up taking him at 6. There is nothing wrong with his college production and he was the #6 recruit coming into college.

Keyonte is my guy now. The smoothness of his jumper reminds me of someone I will not say. He has playmaking potential and I think the defensive concerns can be corrected. He is exactly what we are missing.
Fine print disclaimer for Fultz:
I am high on Markelle Fultz. Yes I understand he is not perfect and needs to shoot more and better and turn the ball over less. I would really like to see him play one more year… and I did and he sucks time to move on.

Cam or Black at 6, Keyonte at 11. Not sure where the minutes are for both picks though...

I'm thinking we almost have to go with a wing with one pick (to backup Paolo/Franz) and a guard with the other pick to start or backup Fultz/Suggs.

Why black? The guy can’t shoot at that point I would draft someone else and keep Fultz or see what Suggs can do at point guard.

That smooth jumper is exactly what got me hooked. He's the missing piece. The perfect fit. The cherry on top of an amazing rebuild. Etc.

I am at the point where if he is not picked ill be super upset. I am now leaning towards him at 6 and whatever falls to us at 11 so be it. I think 3 years from now he is top 4 of the class. Grab him at 6 and let the chips fall where they may.

Was watching a youtube on re-drafting the 2021 draft; it was stated that in some order the top-3 would be F-Wagner, Evan Mobley, and Josh Giddey.

What is amazing looking at this now, is that the top-8 players (maybe minus Suggs) all look to be at least multi-year NBA starters. One could tell a narrative where all 8 will make an NBA allstar game at some point of their respective career.

Wow this draft was talent rich up top!

I think he will rather be picked at 11.

Who do we take at 6 and 11, assuming George gets picked between 8-10?

I imagine the doom and gloom on this forum when George is the pick at 6.

Me personally i am more than ok with George at 6.

Good question!!
Jeff knows the answer!!

I take Wallace at 6

Gradey Dick at 11.
Or Bufkin, very underrated.
