I had a thought that Moe as the energy guy off the bench is less of a factor now that the entire bench exudes energy.

Nice win, team looked really fired up for it and the effort was excellent throughout. Rebounding was key throughout. I am really happy for Isaac and hope he can stay healthy this year. Cole looked great, Paolo's assing was impressive, Franz looked fantastic early on. I liked that Gary Harris attacked the basket early on and got easy buckets. Suggs was a bit too trigger happy for my liking, but his energy level was impressive as always.

The Rockets looked terrible though, which again shows how dumb it is to use preseason to predict how the actual season will shape up. Amen Thompson looked extremely raw, he fumbled the ball so many times and he completely killed the Rockets spacing. And the Rockets still have too many dumb and selfish players.

They actually thought they’d instantaneously be better. Adding FVV and Brooks will but they aren’t turning that team around THAT much. I also think Green is way overrated.

Franz led the starters in usage at 27.8%. This is great to see.

Paolo was the 5th option, at 15.4% usage. If that's a trend it would be a drastic role change.

Only rotation players with a negative net rating were Suggs, Ingles, and Moe.

Isaac continues to have a large offensive role, which is interesting.

Best add they made was a tough proven coach. One game - they'll be better. From what I could see, the arena was LOUD...that's nothing Amen has experienced before...rookie gets a pass. His "lesser" brother had a nice debut. They have at least as much reason for optimism as we do. I don't like the Brooks deal and I don't think Whitmore brings any team play, but they should improve. I don't think Jabari will stay down forever and Green, properly harnessed, is a potential scoring beast. Fun roster, but very immature...losing KPJ may have been a blessing, despite his talent.

I think Mose is a really good coach and motivator and we've got a really deep versatile team...Our top end isn't the highest, our bench might be one of the best, but, on any given night, we can duke it out with anyone. That combo will take you into the 40-win range, which is the logical goal while we're still sorting out the vision for the team going forward.

largest win last year was an April game against Det @ 26 points.
If we remove that one, we won 2 games by 20pts.

We blew out a team even when we didn't play lights out.
We won the 3rd Q, which we always seemed to struggle with last year.

I keep seeing this good coach/ one of the best head coaches in the league stuff with udoka and I'm not sure I understand it.

Didn't he literally only coach 1 season in Boston taken over a team that had been to ecf like 2-3 times in 5 years after Stevens?.

How do we actually know he is a good coach? Didn't the new Boston coach step right in and go to ecf as well in his first season?

I just dont understand this udoka hype for a guy has been a head coach for 1 year....

IDK either. That c team looked like trash outside of Fred and Dillon getting ridiculously hot.

I enjoyed Paolo's assing as well.

You would never expect it because of how super nice his personality is, but he plays with a mean streak like he wants to absolutely ruin his opponents day.

There was a game last season where there was an altercation after he stepped over an opposing player after he getting an and-1 basket. The other team reacted and got a technical and while Black's teammate was shooting the technical free throw he incited the crowd by making a crybaby motion with his hands at them in response to their boos. The opposing fans went nuts and for a moment people thought the crowd was maybe going to storm the court lol.

I'm sure he'll have inconsistencies this season until he gets more development, but I think your fans are going to love this dude.

Saw half the game live last night and saw the second half today. It was the best season start we could have wished for. We have a team now, finally.
Health will be the main thing as we advance, but we're deep. Everyone was buying into their roles, things were clicking, and the crowd was into it in a way that even through the league pass feed, we could feel it.

Play the damn song!

One of those situations where perception is higher than reality. He seems to have marketed himself well and is seen as charismatic, but actual coaching is a question mark.

I posted this on twitter/x last night, but the team looks really good, but more than that I think they look like a TEAM. You can tell every player has bought in this year and is fully engaged. I love the energy on the bench and the comradery.

Love the team defense. That looks to be the biggest change early, they look scrappy, hungry, and active on every play. If the defense plays with that much energy all the time they're going to be great.

I won't put too much stock into any single players performance, it's a single game. Some guys will look amazing, others will look off. One exception to that note: the only guy that really stood out to me as a concern was Ingles. He brings intangibles, but he looks out of shape and flat footed. I don't love him trying to create offense. If he pulls that back he'll be great off the bench, because he did everything else pretty well except when he tried to initiate.

Loved the performance though. This team can be really good. Was great to see Isaac out on the floor again. Hope he can stay healthy. He deserves at least one full season of play.
