If he's not on Orlando next year, going to follow his career based off this hype and everyone guaranteeing he's going to play in the league for 12-15 years and be a great player from day 1.

And how does that work out for teams in the past? If Bledsoe is gonna be good enough for us to try to get him, we'll end up overpaying him greatly or won't be able to get him at all. You'll be surprised how much teams will overpay to keep their assets.

The Clippers aren't in any position cap wise to have the luxury of paying Bledsoe. The new CBA crushes teams that go over the luxury tax. I don't see any way that they pay their backup PG good starters money.

Ryan Anderson was a RFA for us. Look what we got in return. If we wait on Bledsoe, we wouldn't give up nearly as much as AA, AN and a 1st. lol.

And what make you think Clips won't send him off to another team? As soon as CP3 ink an extension, Bledsoe is gone. Even if dumbly keep him knowing that they can't match him, another question would be why would Bledsoe want to sign with us out of 29 other teams?

As for Ryno, he was never considered all star material. He's a soft 4 that gets shut down regularly in the playoffs. Not saying Bledsoe is a better at this moment, but if he turns out to be what people think he is, then we won't be able to get him next season.

AA and Nicholson are not that valuable. I said it before that I don't like trading the first rounder, but if it's protected and we build the team right, then that will be a late first rounder anyway. I don't like it, but I don't think it's that much to give up.

I'm surprised that you're still amazed. You're comparing him to a SG who doesn't have a motor and can't even dribble.

It's Oladipo or Noel or bust - they'll be far and away the two best players from this class. I just don't see why people don't like Oladipo - he's got ELITE athleticism and length, he can get to the rim at will, he's a helacious on ball defender, etc.

Noel, OTOH, is going to be an incredibly dominant defender if he stays healthy. I don't care if he averages 5 PPG on offense, his defensive potential is just so insanely high that he'll make that big of a difference on that side of the ball.

Woj rears his head:

Adrian Wojnarowski ‏@WojYahooNBA 2m

Orlando has been doing a great deal of work on players in late lottery-mid 1st round range, weighing possible deals out of No. 2 spot.

Burke had always been my first choice, but us going after Bledsoe tells me we are not targeting him. :(

I get that feeling too.

But I wonder if it could be the biggest cover up of the offseason??? hahaha.

The Magic DON'T interview Burke at the Combine...
They talk about trading for Bledsoe the whole way up till draft night...
They bring him in for a visit and not one single soul can report on how it went...
Rumors break that Orlando is in love with Noel and Oladipo (more cover up)...

Could they be prepping themselves for a trade down, adding picks and still getting Burke??? :pray:

@SportsWhispers
#NBA: The Timberwolves are in discussions with the Magic about axquiring the #2 pick in Thursday's Draft.

@JoshuaBRobbins
As I wrote today in the paper, I think the Magic still are considering trading the 2nd overall pick. Keep an eye on the T-Wolves.

Thomas Robinson was in Cleveland last night, for a concert, but also possibly for a physical.

I like him, I just think people are a little too excited about him right now, the potential is there though, I just hope we can capitalize that excitement about him if somebody is willing to overpay for him.

Not a big fan of trading out of the #2 spot unless you get something worth wild back. I know this draft is not loaded at the top, but I still think the top 3 players or so are a lot better than anything you'll find in the mid-lotto range.

I have the feeling that would happen only if

a) the cavs pick Noel
b) the deal is too good to pass

I don't like the idea of trading down from #2 to #9... and I don't like anyone on the Twolves not named Love or Rubio. I'm very interested in the details of that rumor.

I still want Noel! I also would rather have CJ over Burke as well.

So who's in play at #9? My favorite is McCollum.

Exactly, there got to be something big. Derrick Williams doesn't intrigue me at all. Hope it is Love.

They aren't trading Love. If they turned down #1, Thompson and Waiters for him then there is no way hes being traded. I really hope we don't trade our pick but if we do I assume we want McCollum.
