But my comparison for him agrees with opinion of Mike Schmitz, Jrue Holiday just without elite defense.

But he kind a reminds me on Derron Williams as well, but Derron was better passer but less athletic.

If you can get Derron Wiliams / Jrue Holiday hybrid, that's pretty good returning value.

"Worst" case is Eric Bledsoe, where he simply isn't good enough shooter to be above average PG.

His jumpshot shows some red flags.

Cade is fundamentally sounded but he really isn't elite at anything. Mediocre athelete who people compare with Doncic, but has nowhere near advanced vision nor passing chops. He could easly end up being lower tear quality player of Gordan Hayward

Cade isnt a "mediocre athlete", kid has decent athleticism. Not the most athletic but not non-athletic by any means. and he is a legit 3 level scorer. and I like the Gordon Hayward comparison, but a more athletic Hayward. remains to be seen if he can develop shooting like Hayward did.

And Suggs is just a freshman, he could still develop elite defense, he has the potential. And I agree, a Williams/Holiday hybrid is a good player.

If you look at Gordon Hayward's combine numbers, 34'5 inch vertical, 10 reps on bench press, 3,22 sec 3/4 sprint ,he did pretty damn well in athletic department, nothing eye popping but fine. Gordon lost most of his speed and agillity after that injury. Same with Paul George. Didn't impact them that much, but our current memory of them, and what they were before are bit missleading.

Suggs gives me Morant vibes, personally. Morant had that extra year of college && I think if Suggs stayed another year and you bumped his usage up to 33% like Morant had his sophomore season, the stats would be even closer to identical.

He's in that category of special athlete that guys like Holiday/Williams just aren't.

You expect him to lace it back up anytime soon? He is in a walking boot and how conservative we are I would think we sit him down till next season (if we resign him )

I just found out today that the Esporta fitness at Howell Branch Rd/SR 436 in Winter Park is re-opening the basketball court this Monday! I haven't called the Esporta fitness in Altamonte Springs but I assume Altamonte Springs reopens the court the same day. I work Mondays and Tuesday's, so I'm looking forward to getting back to Esporta fitness on Wednesday.

Otto is owed a lot of money. I dont think he’ll want to let go of that money nor are we willing to pay him for nothing.

To me its about adding a good locker room guy for the young guys.

People under rating Porter are blind and have short memory.

Will otto become an all star? No
Will otto be a great role player and a great 3 and D? Yes
With so many young players on our team, you need a guy like that on your bench.

We won't be a big FA player this summer, so if Porter looks ok, you offer him a huge 1 Yr contract to hit 2 birds with 1 rock :
#you get a good role player next season to mentor our young guys
#you keep your summer 2022 cap flexibility

Offering a huge 1 yr contract to otto is better than offering a MLE-level contract to a FA

Porter hasn't been healthy since early days of 2018. This is third straight calendar year since he is out 70% of time.
Otto is good player when he plays, but he never plays.

I really, really cant' understand how Magic are thinking this is smart idea , just stock pile injury prone players, offer them huge money and hope against hope their health will hold up.
Isaac- missed more games than played.
Fultz- missed more games than played.
Carter- missed more games than played.
Bamba- missed huge chunks of time.
Okeke- had ACL tear
Cole- injuried in college, missed half of rookie season.

Vets:
Gery Harris- hasn't played 60 games last three years
Otto Porer ( if they want to keep him ) hasn't been healthy since he was 24-25 years old. Guy is 28 now.

8 Magic players either had some nasty injuries, or are currentlly injuried with nasty injuries.

Exactly, lets make sure we help him get healthy.

Let s show him that we d do everything we can do to help him, then once it s time to sign a long term deal in 2022, he ll give us a discount

If he isn't healthy next season, then it s an easy decision, we drop him and don't offer him a contract in 2022

offering him a long contract this summer would be crazy

however a 1 year contract I the best solution for the magic

The Magic looks to ink a player on a 9-12M a year deal to be a major player either as a marginal starter or as the key 6th man with Ross. If Porter would go for a 3 year 36M deal, then sure.

But I think Orlando needs to see who they draft first.
