I still think we need to hold onto Dwight and do everything to get him who ever he wants. Hoping that stern may force a move to a small market team and we are one of the only ones who make sense for CP3 to be happy.

I'm praying for it.

You're right, these are the players Dwight wants... and the same players Otis doesn't want on his "Disney World" team..... damn shame....

Do what Dwight tells you until he signs a new contract and go from there....

I have no idea what will happen, although i have a theory or two. I do hold out hope that Dwight will stay somehow. I don't know why but i just feel like it's not over yet on that front. I just want to hear the offers and watch it all play out.

When Dwight Howard asked to be traded, the Magic informed him that the team will not let his request dictate their timetable for a decision.

"[S]ources close to the team said there will be no rush to judgment on Howard's fate, no matter how uncomfortable the relationship might get leading up to the March trade deadline," writes Sam Amick. "When Howard requested a trade earlier this week, the source said he was told the Magic wouldn't succumb to the mounting pressure and that Howard should be prepared to play for the Magic for the foreseeable future."

A complicating factor could be that Orlando is investigating possible tampering by the Nets, the team that is reportedly Howard's first choice.

Well this is the same guy who said his main freed agent focus is to keep re-sign Darko and cut his rights and sent him a "Dear Darko" letter as soon as free agency opened :lol:

In my heart i still think the fans will be way more forgiving if they keep him the whole season and pook like they tried everything to make him stay.

Like I said earlier...
IF we HAVE to trade Howard to the Lakers, it has to be this...

Howard/Hedo/DUHON/QRICH for Gasol/Bynum/Caracter/Ebanks plus 2 first Rnd picks

Then we can flip Gasol for whoever we want...Monta/David Lee, KMart/Scola/Dragic, etc

If Lakers want another dynasty, they take back ALL our crap and give us lots of options. IMHO

We need a roster that can ATLEAST get us to the ECF... we need to put ourselves ahead of ATLEAST the Hawks and Knicks... It wouldn't take a miracle, just a couple players that are willing to fight and drive the ball....

I think something's up based on the Lakers' activity last night. The first move Otis is probably making is to see what he can get from NJ based on the tampering charges. He has to do that before Dwight is traded.

What if he somehow managed to get the picks from NJ for nothing (tampering) and then traded Dwight to LA? Or perhaps he is trying to convince Dwight to stay. Flip the NJ picks with Jameer, JJ, and Anderson to NO for Paul.

Who knows. I just get this feeling that Otis has a big trick up his sleeve. He always manages to pull off the unexpected. When things are quiet or the team seems to be leaning in one direction he always seems to pull something off. Letting Dallas think they were getting Gortat by not moving on the offer sheet and then signing Bass behind their backs. The VC and Anderson deal. Last December's massive multi-team trade for Turk, J-Rich, Clark, and Gil. He doesn't exactly telegraph his moves.
