The only substance I need to believe in that is our 1st Round buttkicking from the Hawks and a little common sense.

Never mind with Eyrig Hill. He is in prevent mode after admitting he would have to admit I was right about Otis all these years if Dwight walks. Its not that he can't see your point its just that if he admits to it then he has to admit that Otis has screwed up the team and Mags was right all along

Need some positive flavor in here.

Redick and Ryno each started out shooting bad but quickly turned it around and seem to be in nice shooting form (We'll see if it holds up on Wednesday).

J-Rich cut and attacked the rim way more than usual. Still a sharpshooter from the perimeter when fully healthy (which he is).

Q-Rich is in Clippers-Suns days shape and will definitely have a better year than last season.

Dwight tried out some new moves. They failed, but exhibitions allow for that.

Earl played some nice defense on LeBron and James won't consistently be making those jumpers.

Jameer started driving into the paint more and actually looked to put the ball in the basket inside the paint. He got stuffed or missed the shot, but he's going back to how he played a few years ago. Also, he won't be missing those wide open looks when he finally hits shooting form.

Duhon may still be ****, but at least he can dribble the ball across halfcourt better than last season.

Wafer and Baby will do well here. Bring a lot of new elements.

Why, what is YOUR criteria?

So Dallas wasn't a contender last year? Cause...

For me? Top 15 player, top 4 team in the conference in MoV.

I see where you are going with this.

I will caution you however, that not every team that gets bounced in the 1st Round has a chance of coming back to win the championship the next year just because the Mavericks did it. That's lazy logic.

I think Orlando stands right at the center of what you guys think.

They obviously underachieved last season, they can do much better. Anything more than ECF is a stretch as it is. The team has no plan B.

and people keep forgetting what was different about 2011 Dallas: Tyson Chandler. Interior defense nd toughness were their glaring weakness, they plugged it. Orlando's weakness is a double threat who can score in bunches and when defenses adopt, that threat begins to distribute. Hedo was barely that in 2009, look where it got them.

I honestly think I'd rather have another guard try to play the point then use duhon. maybe von wafer and jj can become a good tandem together... but I feel we get absolutely nothing from duhon.

I think the lineup for the next game should be:

Nelson
Richardson
Clark
Anderson
Dwight

Would be Hedo at the 3 but don't know the severity of his injury....Anderson seems like a better matchup for Bosh imo...Baby isn't ready quite yet to take over the Starting job

I really do not understand the disinterest in Hedo in the last game. When he played in the first half, Orlando was in the game. When he went out, Orlando tanked.

The most baffling thing to me about the whole thing is Duhon. EVERYONE sees he is straight garbage but somehow he still get minutes. We would be better off with no point guard at all than having him pn the floor. How does he still get minutes?

All this talk of needing a back up center and nobody (in the magic, not on this board) on the team sees that we need a real back up PG. Dwight barely needs rest in game unless he is in foul trouble and BBD, Ryno and Clark can even fill in when needed and get it done against most centers.
Gotta love Loyalty! Go Magic!
