Otis AND Howard will have screwed this organization equally when this all said and done. Equal blame there between those two.

Wow... Hawks Fans bad mouthing another teams management... THAT's rich...
Atlanta has Atlanta Braves, Atlanta Falcons, Georgia Tech - Orlando has the Orlando Magic. Our fan base is a lot more passionate than any of the big market teams because that is all we have to root for our city.
My Hawks friends are big Braves and Falcons fans which is why they don't really care. That's why.

Why boo Dwight? He let the FO have more than adequate amount of time to trade him. If he ends up leaving for nothing its on the FO not on him. You can't force him to sign an extension.

It's hard to agree with anyone. How do we know what is really going on?

I can only speak for me but his wishy washy statements and the talk about getting a star player gave me some hope.
But after reading the latest stuff it's hard to be optimistic. I hope the Magic do whats best for the franchise...whatever that is...
It's clear he doesn't want to comeback, why delay the inevitable ?
I just want the circus to end.
Dwight Howard on his FT struggles:
"I just think everybody needs to stop talking about it," Howard said. "There's more to life than free throws."

I agree. I, too, am excited about routing for new players that WANT to be here. That used to be Howard, but not anymore. Let the new era begin.

It all makes sense why OSmith wanted him gone earlier.
A lot of people in the Magic FO won't be sleeping for two days.

Because hes thrown his team under the bus, lied to magic fans during the summer, gets an attitude with all of us on twitter and has demanded a trade from a top 5 team in the nba. That's why you boo him. Magic fans have been way too nice.

I'm not even going... I am at the point where I could careless about tonight's game. Never thoughtin a million years that I intentionally missed a Miami game.

Re: Official Speculation Thread (Pt XVII: Trade Deadline con
This is probably an emotional time and you probably don't want to hear about another star center of Orlando going to LA, but supposedly you guys are looking to get us back in it. Couldn't hurt to squeeze every asset you can out of NJ.
One thing the Magic are holding out for, a source told Sporting News, is the resurrection of talks with the Los Angeles Lakers. As the process has played out, it has become clear that the Magic are not going to get a better player in return for Howard than All-Star Lakers center Andrew Bynum. Back in December, the Lakers had strong interest in Howard, but team VP Jim Buss said there was no way he would trade both Pau Gasol and Bynum to the Magic for Howard. Given Bynum’s injury history, a deal in which Bynum was the main target was a longshot.
Still, rumors of a deal involving Bynum persisted, and when he was asked about it on media day, Bynum said, “If they were able to pull a move like that off, it would be great for the organization, and I’d be in Orlando, you know, hoopin’.”
Now the question is whether the Lakers would give up Bynum at all in a package for Howard. He has been healthy all season—a major concern when it comes to Bynum and his balky knees—and at just 24 years old, is showing the potential to be almost as good as Howard, with averages of 17.7 points and 12.6 rebounds, numbers that would probably balloon if Bynum were not playing with Gasol and Kobe Bryant. Buss has had an affinity for Bynum throughout his career, and has been trying to secure a point guard he can pair with Bynum for the long haul.
But, come Thursday, if the Magic can’t find a better package than one built around New Jersey’s Brook Lopez, the option could be there to scrap the Bynum rebuilding altogether and bring Howard to Lakerland.

Well, I think I'm getting me a 12 pack on my way home. Why can't it be an 11 pack or 13 pack...

If Howard is New Jersey bound, I would like to have a fire sale of our veterans. Nelson, Duhon, Jason and Q Richardson, Hedo, Glen Davis make them all available, try to get expirings or picks. A team with Howard is making the playoffs no matter what, but getting expirings or picks makes the transition easier.
