If this thing was about the Magic getting the "best deal" Howard would have been a Laker weeks ago. I see nothing but a bluff here.

I'm tired of this Jarrod guy. Doesn't he realize Howard can't impregnate him...

Seems he has an agenda, he's been plugging Howard to the Nets a done deal for weeks now.

he has a big agenda. He constantly reminds people he is from NY and you know he will be moving up there if Dwight was traded there.

Maybe Houston would take brook for a smaller deal in a three teamer with orlando and BK? Quick one of you trade machine nerds throw something together. Brook to Hou, Dwight to BK, I don't know lamb, Jones picks to orlando, swap hump for scola..someone help.

Joe Johnson would have been great if it was the JJ of 4 years ago. Right now, idk, he kinda played like an older Ray Allen this year. What gives?

I think he is a great player and all, and really had some good series with Boston/Atl. Thing is, they just weren't good enough.

He should've left that summer only to somehow get paid again. It's baffling.

At least Rashard and Hedo stepped their games up when it mattered.

I agree, not to mention they fit the needs of the team just about perfectly. You have to give Rashard credit, he was willing to shift and play out of position and that was a huge key to that finals run.

I knew Rob was not stupid. I see this going down two ways. Howard traded to a team other than the Nets because their packages suck or we keep Howard, let him ride out his year, playing or sitting, then go to the table for a new contract in 2013.

Rob IMO CANNOT let Howard get his way which is play the Magic organization for a fool and get them to take back a bad deal so he can get what he wants. Rob will say HELL NO to that.

Bill Simmons ‏@sportsguy33

I hope Brook Lopez comes to the ESPYs - I want to buy him a 10 dollar drink for 25 dollars. Or as it's better known, "pulling an Orlando."

Hire Brian Shaw and take D12 off trade block. Thoughts?? I think that WILL get offers to help D12 change his mind.(we all know it's possible)

It's a negotiation, this is simply part of the game. I still say 90 percent chance Howard going to Brooklyn. And soon.

Hope he's wrong. He's planted a pretty strong flag.

Don't the Nets have to make the deal today? Is it the 11th or 12th that the Nets start making their other deals official?

That's probably what Dwight or someone on his 'team' told him.

Dwight doesn't seem to understand that, while he can influence things, he's not in control of the negotiations.

The point of this convo was that Nolimit1211 said that D12 took the entire team to ECFs singlehandedly. If so, why didn't he do against Atlanta?

This is complete horse hockey.

Cleveland is out as a third-team trade partner in a possible Orlando-Brooklyn deal for Dwight Howard, sources tell Y! Sports.

Was reported last night, but now seems official. Keep checking them off the list.

Bobcats willing to give Kris Humphries multi-year deal in potential 3-way trade with Nets & Magic, source says. Word is, they want MarShon Brooks (and not first-round pick), too. Not sure what they would trade back at this point.

Got this from the TRUEBLUENATION board. Igues Bucher was just on the radio:

Per Ric Bucher:

- Bucher says Orlando and Brooklyn really really wants to get this deal to go down, but as each day goes by, it gets harder for them to complete the deal.

- Mike says "this trade is TRASH for Orlando, I don't want to disparage Brook Lopez or all these low first round picks, is this the best Orlando can do?"

- Bucher says "at least Orlando gets rid of Jason Richardson's contract. That's a good savings. It is real money to the owners."

- Mike asks is Orlando just being pushed around right now?

- Bucher says teams like the Bobcats, Cavs have more power now at this point because they know how Orlando wants to get this done asap.

- Bucher says "don't be surprise if you have to wait until October 12 before Dwight can be traded so that all the other players traded this summer can be re-traded again".

- Bucher says "a GM already says that Rob Hennigan is getting $0.25 over the $1 value on this trade, but that he wants to get this over with."

- Mike asks "any chance about the Lakers?"

- Bucher says "everything I heard about Lakers is that Andrew Bynum, and also Dwight Howard won't sign an extension this season."

- Mike asks "why won't Dwight want to come to LA?"

- Bucher says "when Dwight met with the Nets, they made him feel like the franchise. But the Lakers sort of made him feel like just a normal player."

- Bucher says "when Dwight goes to a team like the Lakers, as a big man, he looks at that situation and says 'I HAVE to win a championship' because if he doesn't, he will be the only Lakers big man that hasn't win a champ, and that pressure makes Dwight hesitant esp since Kobe only has 2-3 years left."

- Bucher also talks about Dwight being uncomfortable being compared to Shaquille O'Neal with the Superman monicker.

- Bucher says Lakers just needs an Andre Igoudala player more than anything else.

If Brooklyn and Orlando are to make a deal for Howard in near-term, it will likely be a trade between the two teams, sources tell Y! Sports.

He forgot to mention, so it will never happen.
