Yeah but we would have had to resign him anyways because he was going to be a free agent. That trade Otis was going to do was downright awful.

An AI comeback in Orlando sounds interesting. It'll still be tanking, and yet he could also be an excellent mentor to the younger players as a legend. Bring in ticket/gate sales if he's playing well.

We need to be the team that loses every game but the big ones. The Bobcats do this against the Lakers, they seriously tend to beat the Lakers every season but still end up in the lottery. I'd love to see BBD, Jameer, JJ, w/e other Vets help lead the youngsters to big victories like that, against the Lakers-Celtics-Thunder-Heat-etc., it definitely falls under the helping to make incremental culture changes and instilling toughness streaks in players while still going towards lottery.

Dude get outa here, you repetitiveness is annoying.

Here's why your, and many others, analysis is pointless...because you are all focusing on next years win totals. Could a Lopez/Wallace or an Iggy trade made us a better team next year? Sure. But those trades also leave you in the mediocrity of being a 5-8 seed for years to come, with no chance of obtaining a top draft pick.

So you must ask yourself, what is more important, being a 1 and done team in the playoffs each year, or eventually winning that championship? Because I can promise you, the Lopez or Iggy deal get you no where near a championship, in fact, although you may have more wins you are actually farther away from the ultimate goal in the future.

Everyone knows you have to have a star to contend. Your not contending with Iggy nor Lopez. So the next 2 years will be about devolping young players and obtaining high draft picks to gets those "stars."

So everyone who says a Lopez/Bynum/Iggy deal was the better choice, you must enjoy being a 1 and done team. If winning a championship is your ultimate goal, which it is here in Orlando, then going this route 'a la the OKC route,' is the way to go.
