Fair statement knightro. This has been a very long slump.

I'm not ready to write him off completely because he was good this year in October and November and even into December.

But from about mid December on he's been really bad.

.397 FG% .271 3PT% since 12/15.

We are in agreement. I am still OK with him in his role. Not OK with the duration of the slump. Trying to remember when he got injured and missed that one game as well. Definitely has only had 1/2 good games since.

Maybe he needs some "injury maintenance" and we will just put Black in there for 48 minutes.

I mean TyTy & Boston are still only 22 and haven’t been given enough of an opportunity yet.

Look at Monk. He’s 26 and has gotten better every year in the league with more opportunities.

Askew is still playing college ball at Cal.

Askew has shown no improvement to be considered a NBA player.

Tyty ans Boston has how many years in the league already? Tyty was with the tanking rockets... how many chances can you get by that?

TyTys second season and Brandon’s third. Brandon has been buried on a stacked wing position Clippers team.

Tyty is with the bucks now. So he got released from a tanking team wanting to make a push but now buried in a Bucks team that needs guards?

Boston... yeah, a lot of players better than him. Was just thinking why the clips keeps adding players similar to him if tthey don't think he can step up?

Hmmm.. we really kind of have no place for them. I mean as a Duke fan I'd be all for it, but as a Magic fan...

Seems Franz and Paolo can guard 1-5. Probably overkill though

Klay Thompson is a name I like for us. Champion, veteran, and three point shooter. Boxes ticked.

I've been envisioning him on the spurs for a while now.

They can definitely deal with A high usage point guard. And we've seen what he's done with Clint as a lob threat alone... I can only imagine what else he can do with players like Jeremy and wemby. Him and vassell would make a good backcourt.... but wemby will be in the back lines for them.

Klay has turned his season around after a rough start.

October to December 14: 30.0 MPG, 15.4 PPG, 4.0 RPG, 2.0 APG, 2.0 TOV on a .397/.343/.889 slash.

December 14 to now: 31.0 MPG, 18.8 PPG, 3.2 RPG, 2.4 APG, 1.1 TOV on a .436/.392/.953 slash.

He just turned 34. How much does he have left in the tank? I dunno.

I don't think I would have a huge problem going BIG money provided it was for shorter years (think FVV in Houston).

My thinking as well. AND I love that he wouldn't disrupt long-term development. He'd give us so much swag it would be lethal.

Grayson Allen might be getable. It depends on how much Phoenix is willing to pay. He's an FA, so he could just leave. I'd offer like 4 years $72m for him.

Luke Kennard might be available.

“That’s a reason not to bring in some sort of veteran player who can give you a temporary sugar high and then he goes away next year. … And it steps on the development of these guys.”

...“Honestly, when you talk about ‘the Magic need shooting,’ we expect Jett to provide us those things one day, but he’s got to go through his process as Anthony has to go through his, as all young guys have to go through theirs,” Weltman said. “Right now, the best pathway for Jett to get those reps to improve his game is in Osceola.

“It’s been a great place for him.”
