My sources re Houston-Orlando-LA talks are more mum than the sound of silence leading up to Tim Duncan re-upping w/ SA.

What does that mean?

It means Vecsey is getting the cold shoulder.

Nope. I thought I was the only one too since people here were on the Shaw bandwagon. (Nothing against shaw)

The Lakers FO has proven they're very capable and have a good track record, I really don't see them making this 3 way trade..Mitch Kupchak is just too good (and more importantly, too patient) of a GM to do something like this

Truthfully I think in a couple years Bynum will have passed Dwight. Last year he was a 19/12 guy. As the first option on a team and without another 7 footer to take up rebounds, those stats easily get bumped up to 23/14 and the bigger picture is that he still has a lot of room for improvement. He has all the offensive moves to be score even 25+ if he gets fed enough, whereas you can't just endlessly feed Dwight - it wouldn't do you any good. Also last year being his first big year he still had a ton to learn. Kevin McHale (the greatest post player of all-time) was recently asked about Bynum and he smiled because he said his post game is nearly finished, all he has to do now is learn to pass out of pressure. Bynum was consistently doubled in the playoffs and watching him it looked like he had no idea what to do - that's something that obviously has to do with experience. McHale directly teaching Bynum is an incredibly scary thought, and if I'm the Lakers - why would I trade him in conference when he has the potential to be better?

The Lakers are willing to swap Bynum for Howard because Dwight does fit with Nash better, but truthfully the bigger reason is that with the Nash trade they are ALL IN at this point and Dwight is better RIGHT NOW than Bynum is. It's a lot easier to swallow that pill of sending Bynum away (knowing his potential) when it's to the Eastern conf and it can't haunt you. But trading him to the Rockets is a monumental risk

If I'm the Lakers I let Houston get Dwight. He's going to walk after the year is over anyway, and I still have Bynum. The Magic for whatever reason weren't willing to take the same risk (possibly worse since I think the Magic would have a better shot of extending) as they were asking the Lakers to do - that's fine, take your 24 year old all-star center and go home.

The Houston - Orlando direct trade is the only one I see with even a sliver of hope and it's tough to say how much the Rockets would be willing to give up for a rental instead of Bynum

If you're talking about Parsons I wanted him since last seasons draft. Some people literally said "eww" to me for even suggesting him. . . Now some people want him. . .

I'm not gonna disagree with this. But, I would like Parsons here as a backup.

We would forfeit every game because no one would get to play but JJ, Meer and Baby (if not traded.)

NAWWWWW.

Parsons can literally average 15, 5, & 5 on efficient numbers, & will play hard EVERY play.

Not high on guys with questionable motors.
