Looks like this latest Dwight deal may happen. At least as of right now.

Strap in and hope we can at least net Bynum.

Gasol to Houston doesn't make sense anymore.

I have watched Aflalo play in this league since his rookie year in Detroit being I am a Pistons fan also. He was the 27th pick in the draft and worked his way up from being a Bench warmer to the point where he was pushing Rip Hamilton, which made him expendable to the Nuggets. Of which, I am still angry with Joe Dumars for making that trade. Regardless, a true defensive specialist that has developed a very nice 3 point shot. A solid starter for most teams in the league.

Bynum & Afflalo would be great
Gasol & Afflalo would be disappointing

Gasol can't get you anything of value, Lakers have tried for the past 1,5 years now ..

You throw in Ebanks w/ picks and cap relief, I then propose to Henny.

This right here.. You can tell Affalo is a guy Henny is big on

Scott Perry is big on Affalo. I think he was part of Detroit FO that scouted & drafted him. I know Henny like Ebanks.

OOO wrote:Henny should try and get Darius Morris in that deal also. 6'4'' point guard who reminds me a lot of Andre Miller.

I like that idea.

Jameer/Morris
Affalo/Redick/Liggins
Ebanks/Turk
Davis/Nicholson
Bynum/KO/Ayon

Minny has been trying to get LA to bite dangling D.Williams, Wesley Johnson, picks, etc. for Gasol, as has Washington...Atlanta also wanted to trade Josh Smith for Pau but that went no where when LA requested for Teague as well..

Here's framework of "rumored" 4-team trade:

Magic send: Dwight Howard
Magic receive: Pau Gasol (OR Bynum) and Arron Affalo/picks/cap relief

Lakers send: Andrew Bynum and Pau Gasol
Lakers receive: Dwight Howard and Al Harrington

Sixers send: Andre Iguodala
Sixers receive: Andrew Bynum (or Pau Gasol)

Nuggets send: Arron Affalo and Al Harrington
Nuggets receive: Andre Iguodala

From Woj:
Nevertheless, there was still a sense that Gasol's and Bynum's destinations could be fluid in the talks. Either way, one would go to Orlando and the other to Philadelphia, sources said.

Thanks!

Bynum and Afflalo sounds good to me. Better be getting a lot more picks if it's Gasol, lol.

He may have been worth something 2 yrs ago, but right now? 32yrs, still owed lotta money, declining ..

Don't get me wrong, I've been a huge fan of his. But he's not the player he was 2yrs ago ..

I like JJ, but he isnt as good as Afflalo. JJ is mostly a 3 point shooter who uses his 3 point threat to get jumpers. AA is much more physical and a better defender. Look at AA's overall FG% compared to JJ. AA is a better SG.

Eff Gasol. I want nothing to do with that hot mess.

Afflalo I couldn't care less about. Bynum has always been the real equalizer for me. We nab him, it's a solid trade.

Agreed. We could get some pretty decent parts for Gasol. Probably not great, but some decent pieces. LA didn't trade him because they weren't interested in young players/picks like we would be.

We can easily trade Gasol to the Wolves for Williams and picks. Don't know if Atlanta is still interested.

The Magic want Pau, and I understand that, but if Pau was the desired piece, why wait so long to ask for him?

I bet it's going to be out Dwight, J Rich, Duhon.

Enter Afflalo, Quincy Miller, Izzet Turky rights, Nikola Vucecic, 2-4 1st's from LAL/DEN/PHI sides, and Gasol.

Transition Gasol out immediately or early season, for one lotto and prospect, or prospects and 1-2 later 1st's.

Same savvy trading if anything good pops up for a rebuilding, using veterans BBD, JJ, Afflalo or Jameer as bait. Try to naturally and trade-wise, get more lotto(s) for 2-3+ seasons in a row, around Miller, Nicholson, Liggins (my top 3 prospects) with maybe 1 or 2 remaining middle age vets like Afflalo and JJ.
