Yep, he had us taking exum and vonleh primarily. This guy doesnt really know ****. I personally would be surprised if henny took another raw prospect like pozingis. Personally, i think he likes towns followed by johnson.

Well, Towns is going #2 in Ford's mock. It's easily possible that Henny prefers Towns over Porzingis.

My question to you is... would you rather us keep losing to increase our odds at Towns? If I'm remembering correctly, you hate the tank and want to try to keep winning games. Amirite?

I want our current players to show me something and win some games instead of constantly tanking. Imo you can draft a quality player anywhere in the draft if you have good scouts. Winning games is always better than losing games in my book.

The write up about Towns not having the ability to protect the rim is completely inaccurate. I look at him as a slightly less athletic Serge Ibaka.

To me, it's Towns/Stein or bust. One of those guys needs to end up in a Magic uniform.

This white Euro is nothing more than the next Jan Vesely.

I am all about Towns or WCS. And nobody knows if we have a top 5 pick for sure or not so until then it isn't even worth talking about weather we would or wouldn't take WCS with a top 5. We have so many young guys as it is. We might even make some kind of trade for a good vet going into next year. You can only draft and develop so many young players at once. But I do really like Towns and WCS depending on where we are picking. I would even take towns with the #1.

We aren't gonna take WCS with a top 5 pick.

Uh, he's already projected to go 6th. And he's climbing. Rim protection is a highly sought after commodity in today's league.

If we took WCS at 5, I'd be thrilled.

Defensively, he would be a huge addition. Offensively, we would struggle worse than we are now. Not enough shooters on the floor.

I've seen him everywhere from 7th to late lotto. I definitely dont see us taking him over Johnson/Okafor/Mudiay/Russell/Towns.

Bit OT, but it came as big surprise to me how much Ibaka is calculating and actually not contesting shots comparing to other big man.

Stanley Johnson is a scrub. The other 4 I agree on.

We're still rebuilding. Finding shooters is tougher than finding quality rim protection.

Porzingis offers both.

I actually meant that the other the way around. Finding shooters is easier, not tougher than finding rim protection. Rim protection is hard to find.

Rim protection is like gold. I don't believe he offers both. I believe he like every other white Euro guy that offers "athletic ability" his selling point...which is a gigantic bust waiting to happen. For evidence, please see every other white Euro with a profile that resembled his in the slightest. History says he'll be terrible in the league.

Stanley Johnson is the farthest thing from a scrub and is the number 1 wing in this draft.

History as an indicator is criminal. How many black athletic American players have failed in the NBA? Should we use that against players coming up?

I have to agree and I think he is mistaken, I would say Euro's who rely solely on athletic ability tend to fail as do most prospects who just rely on that. Kristaps is athletic but he is far more skilled then he is athletic and that is clear when you see him play, the kid has a sweet stroke and can do a little in the post. I view him similar to how I viewed Motiejunas when he was coming out, except his defense is better and his post game isn't quite as nice.

Unless you're a scout for the Magic, related or a friend of Hennigan, or a Devos you don't know what they're gonna do come draft.

If we wouldn't be able to score just by drafting that guy then Oladipo and Vucevic isn't the long term answer for this team. On top of that I guess you're assuming Aaron Gordon won't develop into an offensive player either.

Dipo and Vuc are fine, but the concern would be more with needing patience with Payton and Gordon. Regardless of what I hope for them, until it happens, that's the reality we would be faced with. I hope Gordon turns into the next Lebron! lol. If we retain Harris, that helps. By no means am I a WCS hater. I would be happy with him if some of the other options are gone by the time we pick. But it would be lying to yourself if you didn't acknowledge his flaws on offense and how it would negatively affect our team. It's one less shooter, plus gone is our spacing which gives lanes for our guards to drive and room for Vuc to operate in the post. WCS brings rim protection. Porzingis gives both shooting and rim protection.

The difference between the two is that lots of black athletes also succeed as NBA players. Whereas white Euro bigs whose number one selling point is their athletic ability....NEVER succeed. They're batting .000 or close to it.

Stay classy.

Porzingis has more than just athleticism going for him, but I don't think you'll see it that way because I think your bias on this issue is on a whole other level, AshBlackstone.

Who are those white euro bigs whose number one selling point is their athletic ability ?
