Yea that nickname isn't changing for him. It's too easy and extremely marketable. Especially now more then ever that Universal will now be including Nintendo into their theme parks. Super Mario couldn't have come at a better time. From Superman to Super Mario

I like just Zone...

Super Mario, Hezzy, Flyzonja, etc. They all feel like it's being forced. I do enjoy the nicknames that are given or those metaphoric nicknames like The Truth, The Answer, Black Mamba. But that's just me

I do call him "Crobe" (Croatian Kobe) to my girlfriend when he makes a good play.

And if it's Super Mario, so be it. As a Jaguars fan, I've heard Texans fans call Mario Williams that, and now some Titans fans have adopted it for Marcus Mariota. The was an F1 driver with that nickname, too. If it can be avoided once it's a new name is given, avoid it. But if it sticks, I don't care lol

It's alliterative, which makes it pleasant to say and hear.

It's not a name that every guy named Mario gets.

Magic and super convey excellence.

It labels him as ours.

the problem with that ^ nickname thing is that his surname is pronounced nothing like 'he's-on-ya'. so it feels kinda dumb to me to make that a thing
