If Hennigan is gone, I think EP gets traded anyway.

Re: Marc Stein - Doc Rivers or Pat Garrity to Replace Hennigan?
As crazy as it sounds im not really down with henny i think his moves were mostly accuratte but the lack of talent is evident from the players. I really love how he handled the Dwightnamre, the fournier and tobias acquisitions were his best moves during his tenure. I didnt like how the tobias trade to the pistons finished (signing Biyombo) thats his worst move imo. And I was happy when he traded for ibaka also when he hired Frank. Ofcourse he could have drafted better but that is always happening and blaming him for not finding that Diamond its a bit harsh. No player during his tenure was a franchise player (damn ping pong balls) and he kept the magic very flexible until last offseason were he played all in and it was tragic. Overall i think he is a smart guy Who got Martins Hands all over and rarely gave him liberty to do the things his ways. I repeat im not done with him and in henny i still trust

Doc is one of the worst player personnel managers in the league. Its his fault we drafted guys like Reece Gaines, Jerryl Sasser, Steven Hunter while passing up some damm good players. He also ran Darrell out of town. He got to LA and has made that team worse, he has hallowed out that roster. They have zero young players, zero athleticism in the perimeter, huge fail on his part.

If KG, Jesus Shuttlesworth, and Pierce didn't team up in 2008, would Rivers be highly regarded?
What has he done with LAC? Plus I don't know if Rivers and Vogel could co-exist.
People said the same stuff about Riley. Would you have wanted him as GM? Probably not.
Every GM has to start somewhere. But they have to show some potential or acumen. I just don't see what Rivers has done. The Celtics had Ainge pulling the strings for their 2008 title and their current team. Clippers already had their core in place before Rivers got there. Rivers hasn't really been able to add more talent to the LAC to take them to another level.
I would much rather roll the dice with someone like Garrity than Rivers. Maybe Garrity is the next Riley but Rivers has a track record that proves he isn't Riley.

I think its harsh to say those things he kept the clippers as contenders for years he developed jordan to an all star level and seems like the injury bug always hit em during playoffs. Dont forget durant was interested by the clipps last offseason that woulda turn the things so hard

And Griffin and Paul are heading into free agency. It's quite possible that the Clippers are one of the worst teams in the league next year.

BTW, Pat Garrity was a member of the National Basketball Players Association Executive Committee from 2000 to 2008 where he served as Secretary and Treasurer.

Chris Paul already said he is going to resign with the Clippers after this offseason...

Now he obviously could go against his word but it seems him and Blake are going to stay put with the Clippers for the time being.

All I can say to this is that I hope the hiring pool is much larger than just Doc Rivers and Pat Garrity.

If Hennigan is gone, EP is the scapegoat to let go indeed.

yeah even if Henny stays I think EP could get traded. Not saying he has to go but if we take a PG which very could happen in this draft. I think that with him still being young and having some value and someone taking his place makes him one we look to trade regardless of who our GM is.

well, he worked in the FO of 2 teams, and look at his bad decisions. Now people want to bring in someone with zero experience?

If they handle it anything like they did the Skiles hiring, it won't be.

I am not advocating or supporting Garrity. But sometimes going with an unknown with potential might be better than retreads. I also believe Garrity was associate GM for the Pistons so it isn't like he has zero experience. Either way I don't want Rivers anywhere near this team.
