Robbins connecting the dots here. Biyombo might not have been thrilled with not playing, whereas Mozgov is used to it.

Magic added about 2.3M in salary for this upcoming season, but shed 1M in salary for next season.

A total of 1.3M added.

Basically 1.3M to get a look at Jerian Grant.

Hope something else is brewing because this seems pretty lateral at the moment ...

Really? You're excited about Jerian Grant? As a 3rd stringer, you could do worse but he's a very conservative playmaker that isn't very dynamic and isn't a consistent shooter.

Yes. We needed point guard depth and he is going to be competing for a starting spot against DJ and Briscoe. Probably the best value we could find in a deal for just essentially Biz.

He hits all the marks for what I would assume they would be looking for. He needed an opportunity for playing time and could end up surprising everyone if given the chance. Just remember, at one point someone took a chance on Isaiah Thomas.

Jerian has been given his opportunity in Chicago when Dunn went down.

I used this one, said he's rfa in 2019, so his QO is on there. I guess we will Mario him?

We gotta remember that Clifford sat biz on the bench the moment he got to Charlotte originally. Wouldn't be surprised if that was a driving force as well. Dont think Clifford is a big fan of biz. It's kinda a what ever trade but it doesnt hurr that we are getting a look at grant and mozgov wont complain about minutes. Bamba is officially our back up center until vuc is gone or regulated to a bench role.

That's kind of the weird part of this deal. Grant hasn't been good for 3 years. I don't see the upside. Seems like a warm body to dribble to ball across halfcourt in case Augustin gets hurt.

Because we get a young PG prospect to look at.

i don't mind grant, liked him before the draft too. He is a solid back up imo and considering all we did was dump biyombo for him I don't mind this move.

Everyone wants the splashiest acquisition possible despite the repercussions or the fact that Orlando isn’t really in the radar for most players.

Why would this trade lead to DJ starting? Grant is a third stringer. Briscoe is a minor league prospect or third stringer at best. We need a starting PG

Have you watched him play though? Grant is better than that, he isn't going to be a star but he's a solid player in a bench role.
