No offense, but the only way you STEAL a game or "two" is if our entire starting lineup gets injured in the first 5 minutes of game 1. While i appreciate blind optimism, the talent difference between the two teams is so massive (not to mention depth and playoff experience), that it would take a meltdown of unparalleled proportions for the Raptors to lose more than 1 game in this series.

That's true, and it's not like the Raptors have a history of melting down in the playo... Oh, right.

Let's not fool ourselfs, Raptors are massive favorites.
Leonard ( 87) and Ibaka ( 109 ) played more playoff games than whole Orlando Magic current roster, inluding GM Hammond combined. And that's not even joke,as you can see below:
Hammond never passed first round.
Ross played 31 games in PO
Mozgov played 40 PO games.
DJ 28.

Half of roster never played single min.

We can hope to maybe steal game 1 as game ones are always shaky ones for favorites and make series interesting, but it's hard to imagine knocking them down. That's why upsets are so rare. Actually most of upsets through history happend during best of 5 format and since best of 7 series started, almost all upsets had some major injury as key factor Bulls- Philly ( Rose ACL) , Spurs- Memphis ( Ginobli ) . Well there is always Dallas- Golden State thing, however, for whatever reason, Dallas prior to playing them in playoffs, lost to Warriors 5 times in a row.

Exstending series to 6 or even 7 games would be amzing.

Just for reference, this is what the clear genius, Fedord, posted on the Raptor board game thread.

"Of course. Its the Raptors we are talking about. Fully expecting this series to go 6-7 games while Philly, Bucks, Celtics all take care of business in 5 or less."

So your point is he is a rational poster and you are an idiot? Its tough to disagree with that analysis - well put. That said, I think the Nets series goes 7 fwiw.

I think you've missed something. Ramed was pointing out fedford saying contradictory things on their board and ours simply so he could troll.

You can't go from 7th seed, locking playoff spot in 81# game of a season, against 58 wins team and expect to pass . You damn sure can hope, but that's not realistic or objective goal to set.
Let's just enjoy playoff basketball and see how things go from there, instad hoping for miracles before tipoff?!

Indeed. All of the quoting confused me. I give up on trying to figure it out. For now I'll just assume that all Raptors fans are evil.

That's true, and it's not like the Raptors have a history of melting down in the playo... Oh, right.

I think your team wins game 1. Raptors always struggle out the gate. I wouldn't be surprised if this goes 7 games.

Funny -- I think the Raptors easily win game 1. Magic are not used to playoff intensity. To me, the game that will gives us a good picture of the series will be game 2. If the Raps easily take the second game it seems to be best case for the Magic is 5 games and it might be a sweep. OTOH if the Magic can find a way to steal game 2 we could have a series on our hands.
