Anyhoo... we needed a scoring mentality Guard or Wing that also has a good 3pt range... I think we just wished he was also taller and didnt on his lone NCAA year...

I just don’t like his percentages. 35% from college AND high school 3? And only a 75% FT shooter? Those aren’t terrible but it definitely doesn’t seem like he is an efficient scorer either. We’ll see I guess.

They replaced Seth Curry with cheaper version in Ty Terry while picking up two really good wing defenders Josh Richardson and Tyler Bey.

Great moves, they will be a dark horse championship contender this year imo.

if you watch any of his interviews... I believe he legit feel it and there is a large chip on his shoulder. Especially when you would have been in conversation as the top player at the beginning of the season.... injury strikes and things go south.... and you com back and play injured on a team where talent is slight....and you failed.... and instead you are taken at #15.

A few things:

--Well I give them credit. This pick isn't their usual dull pick. Without the completion of the NCAA tourney I knew barely anyone in this draft. Dudes have coming out parties during the tourney. Cole was about the only one on the board I'd seen play a few times and knew his name. At worst it adds some intrigue to the team.

--Cole himself. I'll be optimistic he adds excitement. Maybe I got him wrong. But he feels like he was all world in High School because he was so much more athletic than other dudes. Then college they start to catch up to you and in the pros you going look ordinary because everyone is bigger and faster. Plus his daddy's name gave him clout. Kid was banged up at UNC and didn't have much help there, one of the worst UNC teams in recent memory. So I'll be happy to be wrong about all I mentioned.

--Markelle and Cole co-exsist? Cole going have to become a knock down shooter if so. Going small is all the rage so maybe it will, or maybe one will be gone.

--Seems like moves are coming. I can't see them keeping DJ now. Also it's well known him and Bamba are BFFs. Feels like this is a vote of confidence in Mo (I have no idea why lol). Maybe they are ready to deal Vuc and hand it over to Mo. Going take our lumps if so, we will see.

--Spike Lee at his draft party is bad news lol. If dude does become legit down the road. He is all but gone to the Knicks. Unless by some miracle him and his BFF Bamba become Shaq and Penny part duex and lead us to contend. (Wise up kids...no state taxes, great weather and not Nazi like lockdowns here)

They've looked at a similar prospect before in DSJr. I'm gonna hope thats as far as the comp goes... I think he's a smart kid who's coming in with something to prove. I think he'll prove to be better than the 14th best player in this draft.
