We’ll probably be the worst team this season and still draft 4th.

Cole is fine, but he's Steve Francis.

Need the jaws of life to get the ball out of Cole's hands late in a close game.

This board will get very interesting if we end up with Banchero in the draft.

I will say this about Banchero...

His creation for others and hustle numbers have upticked as the season has gone on. Which is good because they were virtually non-existent early in the season

He has 15 assists, 11 offensive rebounds, 7 blocks and 8 steals in Duke's last five games.

Yeah. I see the appeal of Banchero. I've had a tough time sorting out the top of the draft. My statement wasn't an indictment of him.

I just don't think anyone on this board is going to tolerate Cole's late-game heroics if we have Banchero on this team. I suspect this board would turn on him pretty quickly.

Ohhhh my bad. I thought you meant the board would implode watching Cole and Banchero fist fight each other for the ball down the stretch in close games since they both just want to shoot

93 points from Harris, Embiid, Curry and Korkmaz on 35-69 FG , 10-22 for 3.

Once 76ers in 4th quater put bigger defensive effort, we were left shooting 7-20 for a quater. So, by numbers, it turned out that Orlando only menaged to score 10 points in last 6 min of close game , including 0 points in last 2 min.

Issue is still that on nightly bases we have players that contribute to nothing. Tonight it was Chuma and Hampton ( and no , i don't count those Isaiah Joes, Fraziers or Gillespies of the world ).

Ross is playing much better lately and sure if somebody offers anything worth something we should explore trade ( that goes for basically every single Magic player ) but in this moment he is not taking shots from anybody. Maybe once Suggs, Fultz , Isaac are all back and Cole ends up on bench... but at this point i don't see anybody having b***s on Magic to sit Cole any time soon.

This game showed both good cole and bad cole.....when he's on he can really spark the offense....but at the same time he can be a black hole in moments of the game....Fultz and to a lesser extent Suggs, they dribble with purpose....Cole will LITERALLY dribble the entire clock out to set up a jumper....That should NOT be happening this often with cole, coach needs to clean that up as soon as possible because that's just a bad habit...just run the offense cole

I Never want to see Cole/Ross/Wagner on the floor at the same time because franz isn't touching the ball at all with that lineup...i've said it before when these guys start coming back DO NOT expect coach to adjust and reward franz for stepping up and give him the touches that he's earned...expect him for minutes at a time to be sitting in a corner not being involved just ball watching....he's playing the best ball, he's arguably your best player and he can't get touches...unbelievable

coach has to figure these lineups out and he has to figure this gameplan out, offense and defense because it still needs a ton of work

I think we'll need a few games to get the offensive balance right with Cole back. While Cole was gone Franz took on a bigger role but he didn't initiate the offence much in this game, if at all. I'm not too mad about it though because Franz was starting to look tired in some previous games, so taking a back seat here is acceptable.

Likewise, Wendell only took 4 shots but he was being guarded by Embiid so that's also somewhat ok too.

On the plus side, Cole only had 1 turnover and Bamba played a strong game. I saw Mo take a few purposeful dribbles late in the match while being closely guarded and he took and made some mid-range jumpers (2/3). Normally his offensive game lacks diversity so seeing something a little different was nice.

Another solid game from the starters leading to a loss via terrible bench play. Wash and repeat.

This is a positive outcome of the draft as the Magic would be most probable to select #5th is the worst team.

Not watched the game yet, but did F-Wagner guard Danny Green?

Green: 0 points, 0 assists, 0 rebounds and 0 steals in 24 minutes played. That is awesome for F-Wagner if so.

The bench went 10 - 31 (32%) in shooting. No real mystery as to why Orlando lost this game.

But a p.s.: Orlando had 4 more TOs than the Sixers. AND committed 14 more fouls.

2-14 at home is really humiliating, even for a team that is tanking.

I saw a lot of good last night.
But the biggest take away, I'd like to see Cole adjust to Wagner running more point forward, that make take practices which are scarce right now.
I like seeing that we have good players, even if it is in spurts. We'll use this coming summer to figure out a better TEAM ball.
I think we win this game if RoLo is healthy, we could have used his size to push Joel and Drummond.
Can't let Drummond and Korkmaz contribute that much, the others are going to get theirs.

One more thing on the Wagner & Cole (it's not Wanger vs. Cole).

Boston has 18 wins, Taytum and Brown are in year 5 and are still trying to work together, let's give Wanger & Cole more than 1/2 a season.

I'm not sure how much Cole enjoyed watching Franz dominate in his absence. Just my opinion.

Return to Orlando Magic
