Honestly, most of these kids coming up into the NBA speak this way because that's what's "in" right now. BUT, the Magic have done well selecting players who are young, yet represent our franchise in a professional manner without having to change who they really are. If you listen to Paolo, Franz, Wendell, Cole, Jalen, and the rest of the guys speak to each other they really don't give off that Grady Dick feel. Our guys are well spoken and talk with purpose, like a pro athlete. With that said, Id like GG with that 11th. I think Dick can stroke it, but there's guys available in that range with just as good if not better shooting abilities (especially off the dribble) than Grady. BET

GG Jackson apparently has a bad body language.

I would say they go forward at 6 and guard at 11.
Just my opinion of course.

I agree the Magic should look to a player with starter potential at 6. That probably means Taylor Hendricks or Cam Whitmore at 6.

The Magic should definitely look for a potential starter at 6... which is why it makes zero sense to draft another forward there. You can't start three forwards. And no, Franz is not a shooting guard. I think some of you only want Hendricks because of where he went to school. If we actually draft him, I hope you enjoy seeing him warm benches, because he plays the same position as our best player.

Dariq Whitehead. Seems to be the most logical option that fits this FO's style.

I personally don't see the need of a starter at 6 especially since qe have our 2 studs already.

I also think the reason so many like Hendricks ( including me) is that he has the potential to be a 3pt shooting Isaac. That's what we kinda need to spell our or play alongside our key pieces.

Injury prone??

High ranked recruit in high school
Injured in his college career
Potential through the roof
Probably miss his rookie season

Yup...

Injury prone??
Our type.

Seriously though:
- highly ranked HS player
- high IQ
- 2-way versatility
- great potential
- good size & length

If not for the injuries, he'd be a top....7(?) Pick? Just seems like someone they'd swing on with our extra pick. Also, with our young depth, we can slow play his return to action without worry. Hell, it wouldn't shock me if we convinced him to go Chuma's route with the redshirt season in Kissimmee.

At worst, he's AJ Griffin. At best, Jaylen Brown-ish.

*this is assuming medicals check out.

Wouldn’t be shocked to see Dinwiddie/21 for the 11.

Nets don't play much pnr so maybe they'd be one of the teams more interested in Fultz.

Might be able to work a Fultz for Dinwiddie trade with something else to make up the value difference.

I agree.
Isaac without injuries.
Hendricks also has the body to bulk up, in certain smallball lineups he can play center.

His 3ball and shotblocking are enticing.

There is no player outside Wembanyama that starts opening night for Orlando. Now, a #6 might start at some point in the rookie season, and certainly needs to be a player deemed a future starter, but the reality is that the Magic's two FRPs are to be used for bench depth in the short term.

A guy I am much higher on than consensus is Colby Jones of Xavier. I'd have him in contention on my board for this pick, with Bufkin, Lively, Coulibaly, George, JHS..

JHS is very interesting.
