He should be ahead Houstan, literally the same skillset but Jett is a first round talent and Caleb isn't. Houston is okay but he is very athletically limited and mostly a catch and shoot player and Jett has more variation to his offensive game.

Chuma I get because Chuma plays d and he's more of a pf.

This trade wasn't some conspiracy - it was just a GM wanting AD bad enough where in most people's eyes he overpaid by a long shot to get him.

Osceola Magic are looking really good with Jett Howard's 1st game on the Osceola Magic!! Osceola already had a good core with Brandon Williams, Mac Mcclung and Trevelin Queen, Now combine those 3 with Jett Howard and Osceola looks like they got stronger team. Now Orlando Magic assign ANTHONY BLACK to the Osecola Magic and the starting 5 lineup of the Osceola Magic be ( Anthony Black, Jett Howard, Brandon Williams, Mac Mcclung and Trevelin Queen) and Osceola Magic be unstoppable.

That's why I've been concerned, even if the rest of his game isn't there at the very least he should be able to catch and shoot? Either way I guess it's better for him to go down there and actually get minutes

That’s why I said you guys are overreacting to that Indy game. He showed in preseason he was fine, it takes time sometimes, skill set is there, son of NBA player, he will be fine.

Exactly.
Jett is a lot better than caleb, and he fits more of what management envision of having multiple playmakers on the court. He is also a better shooter.

But playing time isnt given, it is earned. Whether by experience or not, Jett deserves playing time and moving him to the gleague would allow him to get his body warm. Its not like he is getting minutes anyway.

Did Caleb ever play in G-League and if he did, how did it look? Trying to compare Jett's performance

not surprised in the least...contested shots is kind of what he was good at in college....it seemed like contests never really bothered him....G-league will be good for him to rep out his jumpshot and get in a rhythm....it's probably similar reasons to why cam whitmore was sent down....he also had 25 in this game

Joe Ingles is a vet who understands his role and the league but has little to no upside going forward.

Joe Ingles has provided valuable minutes to this team.

Jett Howard will slide beautifully into that role when he is ready. Likely full time by next season

The rebuild is over. We aren’t giving out NBA minutes for the sake of the future growth anymore. That’s what the G-League is for.

JIngles is a perfect player for Jett to emulate.

Imagine having similar skillset and youth that he no longer has ... but you can see the impact that he has when in the game. JIngles is going to be a blessing for this team as a whole.... but hopefully Jett takes some notes!
