Assuming everyone's healthy, we're going to have 5 players trying to get backup minutes at PG, SG, and SF.

TDS, Black, Harris, Cole, and TQ will fill 3 rotational spots. 2 players will be out of the rotation.

It's good for AB to feel the pressure of Cole playing well. It's forced AB to pick up his game.

I rank Black #1 over all of them. Black is needed in second unit to balance it. I see it highly unlikely he doesn’t play. Only TQ is on the same defensive level and he is 27 vs 20?

Maybe the coolest, most admirable thing about Cole is that he would be the first guy to sincerely get excited for an AB breakout game.

That's the way they do it in the NBA. You're always supposed to be the biggest fan of the player competing with you for a rotation spot.

Cole is better than AB
They play AB for the training.
AB needs to become something that he is not right now and it may or may not happen.

Why do we (humans) always have to feel the need to push someone down in order to celebrate another?

Cole finds his groove for a minute so we have to start a debate about Black who is developing great.

I don’t get it. I won’t open the can of worms of other place “we” do this but yeah, smh.

By “here” do you mean the offensive end of the court?

I can’t imagine Black is going to lose his rotation spot when everyone is healthy, but he’s just not much of a consistent contributor offensively at all.

And I think the bad offense is trickling down to his defense a little bit too.

Yeah. Tonight his defense was definitely impacted by his offense.

His confidence has taken a hit. He was playing well and closing out games earlier in the year. Now Queen is getting 37 minutes and AB is deferring to CoJo and Cole. This is a time where he should be aggressive and getting oppurtunity. I'm not blaming Mosley, it's probably mostly on AB, but it still doesn't feel great.

I'm a believer, but I do sometimes wonder if it's going to happen here. He might need full reign to make mistakes and grow, but that leash may not exist here for him ever.

He's also still not quite 21. These ups and downs happen.

But he's also not guaranteed to reach his upside no matter what situation he's in. Sometimes I do wonder if they should look for a big trade with him and maybe it could benefit both parties. I don't know, just thinking out loud.

Time is on his side. He made the most of his last summer and working on his game, and I expect he’ll do the same again.

A summer of post footwork and short range scoring game will do a lot to give him confidence of having options once he gets to a spot. Slow it down, learn some floaters and hooks, everything will open up.

As I said, the moment Black struggles the people will turn on him. Seemingly for anyone.

I admit, he has made some bonehead plays, but he is a kid out there he is doing fine. I would like to see more, but he either isn't being given the chance or just doesn't have the mindset to rise to the occasion yet (or at all). Well see.

It's an 82 game season, and so far, kids doing alright.

He needs to man up and stop running from the ball on offense.

This feels like the elephant in the room for AB.. he plays scared way too frequently. Not a good trait.

Honestly I wish they’d just send him to Osceola for the rest of the season, not as a punishment but to just give him HEAVY minutes and game development time.

He needs to be able to find his game, whatever the best version of him is to he will be uncovered when he can play consistently heavy minutes. Let the kid figure it out and hit the weight room till next season.

He doesn’t need to work on his defense because he’s already showing what he can do. But he’s not going to get the freedom right now on offense to get his confidence up and consistently look for his opportunities to score and make mistakes.
