I don't get to see much college basketball but he sounds like a player who would fit our style and team on the wings and could possibly be around when we draft. He could play a year or two off the bench behind Evans while developing into the full-time SG eventually.
Thief was talking up CDR earlier in the thread. Good player, reminds me a bit of Josh Howard coming out of college. Good at everything, great at nothing. I would not have a problem with CDR, but there are guys I would rather have.

No way CDR falls to the 20s.

A Josh Howard type in the early twenties would be outstanding. The Mavs got a huge steal when they picked Howard.

Two guys who I like are C Kosta Koufos from Ohio St. and the local boy PG Nick Calathes from Florida. Koufos becuase he can back up Dwight and play with Dwight, which is great for having a flexible rotation. Calathes because he is local, good, big, and again, versatile enough to play both positions as well as thrive as a pg. Neither would like be a factor next year, but long term, say like after Battie's contract is up and Dooling or Arroyo's new contract expires, they would be able to fit right in.

Darrell Arthur is a nice prospect, and I think the Magic should look into grabbing one of these new wave >6'10 bigs like Powell, Bass, Maxiell etc. it seems to be the way things are going and Arthur has got game..Although I will say that he doesnt seem to be a great rebounder, he gets a good number of them, but something about his rebounding makes it look difficult for him, he's also a foul machine, needs to work on his composure a bit as well...

This teams rotation is one good gaurd short of being a serious championship contender. we need to strike it lucky with a guard. We need to draft either a Pg /SG (Collison, CDR, ) and sign a high risk/high reward SG. Those are JR Smith, Kelenna, Udrih, Navarro, Pietrus, Delfino.. And create a competitive environment for that opportunity.
We have depth up front. we got Dwight, Battie, pick up options for Foyle, Gortat, Auggie, Fran?, and pick up a cheap big free agent

I tend to agree. Collison, Childress, and a healthy Battie would be a great offseason.

If the Magic trade for a new PF, perhaps Orlando could couple that trade by including Redick for the draft right around #15. That slot would get Hasheem Thabeet. His defense would be a good back-up fit in some years, off the bench behind Howard.
At #22, Roy Hibbert and Jason Thompson would get looks for ready-to-go guys that could replace Augustine's slot.

If we get any sign of Fran coming over here than I'd be ok with picking a guard in the draft. But I would like to draft a big men. This draft is DEEP in big men. And we could easily get a steal.
And only way we move up in draft is if we trade JJ AND our 1st round pick. Which, we should be considering.

Play Jase or Trade for Alvarado

I've liked Hibbert for awhile.
And I can't believe I'm mentioning a white big man, since I adamantly oppose drafting white big men, but Robin Lopez is currently at #21 on DX's mock, and their profile on him intrigues me. For a team that needs an aggressive rebounder, he sounds kind of nice. But I don't know, those write ups can often make anybody sound good.

11/18/2017 - I have officially disowned Nikola Vucevic and branded him a loser.
- Skal Labissiere was my guy in 2016 pre-trade. Whoops, but I still believe.
- Malik Monk was my guy in 2017. Whoops(?)
- Mo Bamba was my guy in 2018. TBD.
