Yep, actually think that's the biggest thing. They did score too many points, but they were gaining momentum all along until near the end when they couldn't miss.

I'm not against a trade, but whenever we've made trades when it looks like we're in a spot it just hasn't ended up well. What's the last really positive trade we've had, anyway? Big Baby didn't help.

Monta can create, the question is when he'll stop. He's shooting 43% right now and moving to a new team usually doesn't help those numbers much.

The moment Clark had his 5th foul and sat down, the defense became lax.

Trying to put a positive spin on this. Hopefully this loss speeds up the process of a trade going down.

that's what dynamic scorers do.

and yeah, the offense killed us. what was our FG% for the 4th quarter? something substandard. if we had a reliable scorer, then it wouldn't have been the case and we wouldn't have been outscored by 14 points in the 4th.

although, you're right, defense needs work too.

Yep, they adjusted to our offensive gameplan and just started hitting their shots and getting to the basket/line.

They were fine up until they decided to jack up 3s in the 4th. That's what kills me. And the moment that it was 90-89 9 (OKC) and Anderson decided to hit a 3, that angered me more than anything because all a 3 wasn't necessary.

I'm tired of this time constantly reverting back and folding when other teams makes runs. I'm tired of it. We need change, and preferable a lot of guys who don't settle for shooting 3s.

Well that was because OKC started playing looser on our players and collapsed the paint. You can't force the ball into the paint. Our team shot 50% in this game. The game turned around when we couldn't get a stop,. This is why you need somebody that is able to create off the dribble. We had a beautiful game on offense. but OKC just hang around, when didn't put them away when we had the chance..

I agree, as much as I love ryan, right now he's only going to win you regular season games...

He makes his living off other teams confusion... that's not going to happen come playoff time when the effort is ramped up and the teams prepare all week for you.

You have seen every good team completely shut him down
Fine print disclaimer for Fultz:
I am high on Markelle Fultz. Yes I understand he is not perfect and needs to shoot more and better and turn the ball over less. I would really like to see him play one more year… and I did and he sucks time to move on.

I want to start rebuilding now. Why wait till next year when its obvious we dont have the pieces in perimeter do contend. Trade Dwight, get the ball rolling.

We have no perimeter defense. It's why Atlanta killed us in the playoffs last year. We get dominated by athletic wings.

I thought Atlanta was more of everybody on the team besides Dwight shooting around 30% or less in the playoffs Our defense wasn't that bad. Today was just terrible defensively. KD was on fire too which doesn't help, but J-Rich can't let Harden get by him that easily EVERY time, and you have to be able to check Westbrook. He dropped 29 and 10 on us..

Yeah and there was just a couple of us on this board who said Rashard was overrated and not to touch him.

Only me and another who said take Dwight over Okafor.

Only a couple of us who said stay away Arenas.

Only a couple of us who said that Phoenix trade was horrible.

When the whole board was saying yipiee Big Baby there was 1 saying he not very good.

Same with Duhon

I don't need to continue. If you want to gut the team for Ellis go right ahead. Realize he being shopped for a reason. If he does become a Magician which I doubt. However if he does it take about 20 games for you to know what that reason is.

We could have 50 points on them and it still wouldn't be enough for our team to pull out this win. When the other team makes a run, our team panics and start shooting frantic 3s.

Difference between this year and the Phoenix trade is that team could still contend somewhat last year. And even if it didn't, they were in a much better position for free agency this year.

Now, the Magic are a first-round exit team and cannot hope in their wildest dreams to contend for even a conference championship.
