At least the players understood why they lost so that's good. Learning from it is the next step.

Not really sure how I felt about that Mosley tech. I get it you sometimes do that to motivate your team but it was still fairly close at that point.

Also Ingles is completely washed man.

It worked towards the end of the game but I don't know about Kyrie and Luka.

We lost because the music was too loud.
Need to tell them to turn the volume down like 27%
Paul Porter might have something to do with it.

Hawks, Bucks, and @Nets remain in this five game stint. Can we win two of them?

Effort and the ball movement on offense looked pretty good in the first half. It was about as good as you’d like against Dallas.

They came out flat in the second half and Franz just couldn’t get going. Too many turnovers in the first few possessions by just about everyone involved.

Mosely took out Goga and Moritz came in and started making some buckets when nobody could hit anything. He never came out of the game after that.

Same with Cole and Suggs after about 2 minutes and the offense just came to a crashing halt. Everybody just stood around on offense and we tried to match Dallas… never going to happen. AB with Cole wasn’t good. Just about as effective as him with Fultz. Which equals nothing at all.

Franz could have sat out and it wouldn’t have mattered. Admiral would have been better.

Our defense gotta be better, bottom line. If we are going to run with all these bricklayers our defense is whats gonna carry us. When these droughts happen we gotta be able to keep up the fight defensly to stay in it. 17 points in the 3rd is bad but we also gave up 33. Defense is our clalling card. Its a good lesson cause we were feeling ourselves a bit after the LA game and the first half of this one.

We put the ball in his hands, and he turned it over and took terrible shots the entire fourth quarter. (and yes franz was terrible, but i dont consider him the "guy")

how do you let one of the worst defenses in the NBA hold you to a 2 point half?

If Franz played better and they had shooters they win the game. Paolo is the guy but he can’t win every game by himself.

Lol **** off. We need shooting and for Franz to show up

Just because this doesn’t fit your narrative doesn’t mean it’s not true.

Fultz impacts this team on many levels.

Naw, if Franz plays well and we shoot the ball somewhat decently the Magic win this game.

A tale of two halves. We were phenomenal the first half to the point I would have taken that for the rest of the season and into like a 46-50 win record.

I'm probably wrong, but I felt like there was a time in the NBA when the Coaches would have called a full timeout and completely swapped the starters back in as a response. It felt like we overplayed Cole Anthony in the 2nd half as well had some different lineups from the first half's. Granted, we played played so bad in the 2nd half that nothing might have mattered but yeah.. if our 12 point lead evaporates like that, I'm putting in the original starters who mostly made the lead. (We'd have to see the Box Score at half-time to see this easier).

I know stars carry this league but when when Franz or Paolo have an off night I really hope the role players step up. We can’t rely on Franz and Paolo being perfect every night.

Yeah it was bad.

Orlando was never going to beat Dallas in a shootout… not sure why we went away from the defense that gave us the lead in the first half.

Yeah Franz has to show up, but I kinda put a potion of this on Mosely as well. Can’t run the whole 4th quarter with Paolo as your best defensive player inside while praying a rookie and Cole Anthony can go out and guard two elite scorers in crunch time. That’s just not going to cut it defensively on both fronts.

Also not good to have your offense be “Paolo go out and draw fouls” for an entire quarter. Guys have to hit shots instead of standing around and waiting for Cole to make something happen.

This. Thank you. God this board lives on such black and white, all or nothing thinking. Some of you would do well to be exposed to cognitive behavioral therapy. It’s not the end of the world. Young team that needs to learn to play with a lead and deal with star player antics. Luka is an annoying little sh*t. We should be ok.

Paolo has a hard time being consistently dominant over the course of the game. He has spurts of dominance followed by spurts of ugly play. We also got to figure out better ways to counter attack teams doubling Paolo in the post.

Also one last thought. I was originally against the idea of Anthony Black playing the three because I want him to develop as a PG. But if Mosley insists on him playing off ball mostly in the corner then he may as well just take Ingles’ minutes at the 3.

31 points for Jordan Hawkins tonight.. I did want him though cause I thought his shot was more NBA translatable than Jett, but in theory Jett ~can~ do more

Man them spaces are very interesting.... They're basically blaming Suggs for everything.... According to them as soon as we get Gary back in the starting lineup.... Problems solved
