If you don’t draft BPA, you end up with Jett.

They can't just blow these picks. I don't want to see a huge reach

Anyone have thoughts on Kam Jones? (With DEN pick)

6’5 combo guard from Marquette, 23yo, 5.9/1.9 AST to TO ratio, 19.2 ppg, 1.4 steals, low 3pt % but took 6 tries per game, so there must be hope

*not to start, but CoJo/ Cole upgrade?

asked chatgpt

Given the Magic's current roster, which includes talents like Paolo Banchero, Franz Wagner, and Jalen Suggs, integrating players who can contribute immediately, especially in shooting and playmaking, would be beneficial. Prospects like Boogie Fland and Kanon Catchings could offer the offensive boost needed, while someone like Egor Demin might be a longer-term investment with high upside.

If you have specific preferences or would like to explore other potential fits, feel free to ask!

"integrating players who can contribute immediately .... would be beneficial."

Hmm.

God I hope the Magic has no rookies next year.

It's scary because the Magic have made a couple awful picks that were reaches in this range. There were like 20 picks better than Jett when he was picked. They just threw away the pick because he went to Michigan, and they knew his dad.

Camara from Portland got picked 53.

No mock had Jett in the top 20.

i can't fault the michigan connection Moe and Franz went there.....and wolf plays there and i like him quite a bit sort of like a guilty pleasure.....i get why we shouldn't pick him but for me i think if he hits, wolf would be like another sengun.....sengun-like player with paolo and franz? i like that

Wolf isn't projected inside any top 20s that I see. I'd rather pick a player who is projected there. Like Essenge, Sorber, Boyles, or a player who falls.

Worst thing about Jett is that he was probably promised to be drafted by us, so guy didn't even attend combine.

Sheer surprise when "6'9 college SF-PF" enters nba as 6'6 person who can't jump over paper

Jett was mocked in the 10-15 range everywhere before his injury.

Some of you have very bias or short memory:-)

He wasn't in any final mocks that I could find. Early season mocks change after the cream rises to the top.

Early season mocks are irrelevant. By the end of the year some did still have him as a 1st, many had him as a 2nd, statistical analysis would have had him as late 2nd or do not draft. I believe toward the end he started getting top 20 buzz mostly because it was rumored that he had a guarantee... And that turned out to be true sadly.

When I watched Jett tape I will admit I watched only abut 5 minutes and turned it off for good. I said to myself "he does not have NBA athleticism, I would not draft him."

I do think he has gotten his weight down and added more quickness than he had in college, so I will give him credit for that. I would be very surprised if he turns out to be a player, it isn't impossible though. They definitely should ship him to a bad team that will let him help lead the tank to see if the game has any chance of slowing down for him.

I just think he'd be a reach for that first pick. He's projected to go in the mid 20s.

Yeah... revisionist history much? I mean... I personally am one of those that didn't like the pick but to say he isn't top-20...

Mocks were all over the place and his spot was definitely in the "teens" area.

I remember him being in the mid to late 20s. 24th is the highest I can find Jett being mocked. The Magic basically punted the 11th pick.
