I find it interesting that mos option is 11 million and WCJ is 150k cheaper. WCJ goes to 18 and 19 million the following 2 seasons.

My question is who do you value more? Mo won't be back until around Christmas most likely but I wouldn't be surprised if he still plays more games than WCJ.

I think I'd still rather roll with Goga and Mo and send WCJ and #25 for a young center or backup point on a cheap deal and help with the apron space

Who is this young C? We ship out WCJ, our C rotation until January is Goga and the " kid-gloves treatment" JI...

I'm not sure but I don't think replacing WCJ production on a cheaper contract is the most difficult task. Id feel different About him if he was at 10 million for more years but his 18 and 19 million coming up are not worth what he brings 45-55 games a year

Honestly, no.

I’m not high on the idea of sinking a max contract into most of those guys without figuring out how to maximize them on the floor. The value also doesn’t shake out with the timeframe. This is the roster as it stands.

Giannis is the outlier but he’s older and he too requires a specific roster to emphasize his skillset. AD is reaching past prime territory due to injuries. JJJ and Mobley are guys you add next to elite talent on offense, specifically on the perimeter.

Option 1 - Don't use MLE. Retain Moe, Gary, CoJo (Moe and Gary on reduced contracts). Add 25th pick, but no 2nd rounders.

Option 2 - Moritz, Gary, CoJo all gone. Make MLE signing. Make 25th and 46th pick. One open roster spot.

Option 3 - Moritz, Gary, CoJo all gone. Make MLE signing. Use BAE. Make 25th and 46th picks.

Option 4 - Gary and CoJo gone. Moritz retained. Make MLE signing. Isaac punted into someone's TPE. Make 25th and 46th picks.

Option 5 - Gary and CoJo gone. Make MLE signing. Moritz retained. Isaac retained. Jett punted. Make 25th and 46th picks (THIS WOULD REQUIRE A SIGNIFICANT MOE PAYCUT WHICH MAKES IT UNLIKELY)

Option 6 - Gary and CoJo gone. Moritz retained. Isaac retained. Goga/Jett traded for the caliber of player the Magic would chase with the MLE. MLE not used. 25th and 46th picks used.

Option 7 - Gary and CoJo gone. Moritz retained. Isaac retained. WCJ and a ton of SRPs traded for Austin Reaves. MLE not used. 25th pick used.

Definitely not happening now

Reaves is gonna get paid WAY more than Carter is set to make in 26-27. Like close to double more.

There's no way the Magic could afford that financially.

Didn't realize he had a player option for 26-27... yeah, that would be a shortsighted 1 year move. Damn.

There's no more *significant* moves left to make. Bane was the big move. Everything else moving forward is more on the margins, the back part of the rotation/roster.

The only thing left really is whether or not they have identified someone they feel like can't live without for the full MLE.

And if they have, then they're *very likely* sacrificing one of Isaac, Moritz or Goga to make that a reality.

I would do option 6. Trade Goga, Jett, and possibly the #25 to get NAW. Goga and Jett weren't in the playoff rotation. Jett is a dead contract. It'll make us thin upfront, but we can draft some bigs with our 2nd round picks.

Minnesota may be hard-capped where they can't make sign and trades.

Not sure Minnesota is incentivized to take on nearly $14M in salary for NAW (who they could just let walk) given their apron issues either.

They're only $12M below the 2nd apron, but that's with Randle and Reid both likely opting out (Reid for sure) and looking for raises over their salaries from last year.

Adding another $14M in Goga and Jett would put them in tax hell without tangibly upgrading them on the court.

I think they're done acquiring guards. NAW probably wants to start. Do you bring him off the bench again in ORL? Draft Clayton instead.. Guard rotation will be Bane Suggs Black Clayton Jett

The CBA is a major PIA for everyone. I like the parity but some of the restrictions make it tough to make moves.

Jett stinks and Clayton may not make it to 25 though.

Jett is garbage but how much is he going to play and how much do they like him?

It could be one of Richardson, Kasparus, or Clayton.. one of them is likely to be there at 25.
