I think Hedo has arrived when a 9-15 shooting 21/6/6 game goes unnoticed.

Hopefully Meer keeps it up, since I've been accused of being a supporter of his even when he sucked for a bit.

And yeah.. on TV all you heard really were the clapper things.. it was kind of weird actually, all quiet and all you hear was that noise.. kinda unique

It's either:

A) Based on past history they are expecting the first shoe to drop ...
or
B) Glass 1/2, mostly, all, empty type of people

Remember folks:

4 butt ugly wins gets us to the 2nd round.
3 great textbook dominating wins sends us into depression.

'If we didn't have a great 1st qtr', 'If Dwight didn't dominate', 'If Meer didn't step up'...

How about If Shard and Hedo shot better? or If the Raps didn't go 27-28 from the line? or if Pat Garrity came dressed as a magical fairy from happy land?

Doesn't matter about the IF's, in the playoffs, each game is huge by itself, and rarely means much by the time the next game rolls around. Each team will adjust, things that worked today will be shut down next game, things the Raps covered well today they might leave open next game.

1 Win is one win, doesn't matter if we could have played better, doesn't matter if the Raps may have won if the stars aligned for them, it matters that we won and are up 1-0.

End of story, put it behind us and focus on game 2.

spare me your logical mumbo jumbo!

Nah, that's the confusing part, lol.

I was listening to the TNT broadcast.....

Are you saying it was loud on your Tv because it seemed like it was very quiet on my TV, and I have a killer HD tv. I was watching the Detroit game, and the crowd seemed a lot louder, so I am wondering what the hell is going on. I noticed from the start that the crowd didn't seem loud at all, but the announcer said that it was very loud in there, so I was like damn, it doesn't sound loud to me.

same here BigCityCat. I could barely hear the audience most the game, or at least didn't hear them very much.

Then something must have been wrong with your guys' TV or TNT's feed. Being at the game, it was definitely a loud playoff atmosphere. Probably better than last years crowd too.

That's CRAZY. You do know that when you watch at home the loudness is controlled by the volume of your TV don't you? Seriously, one guy thinks it was quiet, another loud. Damn man, check your volume. The only way to know is to be there in person.

The arena seemed alot more hyped for the first Boston vs. Magic games earlier this year.

Maybe it was just TNT? I dunno

Being a longtime Magic fan I'm just used to things starting out good and ending badly (e.g. losing Shaq, signing Hill, '03 series against Detroit, and to a lesser extent, the habit of giving up big leads) so excuse me if I reserve my carefree attitide until we make it past the 1st round for the 1st time in 10+ years. And even though the Magic played a great game today, the Raptors are capable of winning this series if the Magic are complacent - and that's being realistic.

Well that's the issue really, people can either choose view reality in a positive way or in a negative way.
What you just stated is speculation, the reality is that we are up 1-0 in a seven game series that is won by the winner of game one 78% of the time, 86% of the time if you are homecourt. Those are the facts, that is reality, no IFs included.
Sure the Raps can win the series but so can the Magic, and we are, in reality, already 1 step ahead. It just baffles me how people choose to look at the negative side of things all the time. I hope for your sake that you don't view things that way in other facets of your life.

For the record I believe it was very loud in the Orena, but I think TNT had the audio set in a way that made it sound not as loud through the TV. That would explain why a lot of us that did not go to the game felt the crowd was not very loud. The reason I questioned that idea was because I could see the crowd seemed to be into the game visually and the announcer mentioned how loud the crowd was, but we lost that atmosphere watching the game at home.

The Magic have been complacent before, but can you really see the Raptors winning 4 of the next 6? I might be wrong, and the Magic have let us down before, but I can't see that happening. It's not just coaching, they just don't have the talent. We were getting the same wide open shots in the 2nd half, but Rashard and our other players weren't making them. Like Glyde said, the win is what counts. This happens to every team.

It was very loud in the O'Rena today. I haven't heard it that loud since Game 1 of the NBA Finals in 1995.

At points you couldn't hear Paul Porter on the PA because the crowd would just erupt so loud.

Don't let the TV volume fool you. Each production amplifies the crowd/background to best suit their announcers. So some venues may be louder than others on TV.

There was a reason why the Magic fans were called the loudest in the NBA in the Mid-90s and it was a nice throwback today that will hopefully stick around.

See, I had a feeling this was exactly what happened, and I wasn't sure if they did that or not but now I know. So TNT needs to do a better job of giving us a better atmosphere for the game by increasing the audio level on the crowd at the expense of thier **** anouncers.

Did someone really say if it weren't for Dwight we would not have won

Thanks for the insight dude.

Anyway, it was louder than hell in there. I will be the first to admit we typically have a soft crowd, but they rocked it this afternoon just fine.

Don't know which way the series will go, but the Raps defense absolutely, positively sucks. They make Denver look hard nosed :)
"And with Dwight, he's Moses Malone at 22, Shaq at 22 and Tim Duncan.

Yea you should read the moronic comments coming from blind Raptor fans.

If you didn't have Dwight Howard on your team....
If the Magic and Raps switched coaches....
If the Magic weren't such a great shooting team....

So many horrible excuses. Magic are simply better team. They put better players on the floor. It begins and ends there.

So you want to not hear the announcers to get "atmosphere?" I don't think you understood that you often could not hear the loudspeaker or talk to someone next to you in the arena. It would be extremely annoying to try to watch a game on TV with all that background noise. there's good reason to screen out crowd noise.
