Yes. He has a mid-range J. We don't have to be a team with a stretch 4. Good teams have solid power forwards that crash the boards, D up, and hit elbow jumpers. We can actually be normal and good at it too. Regardless, we know BBD is going to hustle and play hard.

To add...
This is the last game Davis started next to Dwight: http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/boxscore;_y ... 2012040720
They both played well and I think it carries more weight than considering how he played earlier in the season as a backup when he was clearly struggling with multiple issues.

I'm sorry, but I was proud of the guys for game 1. I didn't expect anything more. Otis is an absolute fool. This isn't Stan's fault btw. "we need more energy" is the only way he can say something without actually saying anything. I would bet he wants to say that our team is just outmatched, and the roster is atrocious.

Stan was a heavy supporter of bringing JRich back. This squad is both his and Otis' fault.

People were saying they would rather watch the H & H teams than the D12 offense centered (and the associated drama this year) this season.

So what does that mean?

People were saying we should build the team around Ryan, Jameer, etc. Saying Dwight should only focused on playing defense or trade him for Deng + Noah.

I even sarcastically said then maybe we should trade Dwight for Chandler, hoping people see how ridiculous it is to trade a top 5 player in the league and build around these one-dimensional shooters.

Many are/were saying that Otis did a piss poor job building a team around D12.

People were saying the team was playing poorly in our forced inside/out style.

People were saying players like Ryno, Jameer, JJ and D12 (if he were to change his focus) is what build around.

Not JRich.
Not Hedo.

We've been saying that our team isn't very deep for the start of the season.

Not many had confidence in the team from the start of the season.

Troy Murphy was a really good ball handler and passer for a bigman and an elite rebounder when he was on the Pacers. Probably my least favorite player of all time too.

There were tons of "keep SVG, trade Howard" interjected in many of the threads we had going on here. I don't have time to go through them, but whenever I'm free, I will.

Yes, this is on the bases if Howard didn't want to be here in Orlando regardless of our coaching staff. I hate to speak for those people, but the sense I get from reading this board on a day to day basis is most people would pick Dwight over SVG. A small sample of this board were tired of the drama centered around Dwight and just wanted to rebuild.

I agree with you that more people would pick Dwight over Stan. What some of us are saying is that there are plenty of people who think the opposite, not just one or two.

I remember arguing that if Dwight wanted Stan gone, then we should fired him, but there were plenty of people who disagreed.

It isn't even the Magic's decision. It's all on Dwight.

And unfortunately, I feel like he has his mind set elsewhere.

It's Orlando's decision, they have him for another year.

Oh yeah? You think Orlando has the leverage in this situation?

It is all on Dwight whether he is staying or not.

I was asking because earlier in the season he really struggled as a 4

Whereas lately as a 5 he's been possibly our best player

That's not the point, it's the fact that this team is getting blown out. That's the frustration. I don't have an expectation one way or another for this team to win or lose the series, but I expect our team to play as hard as they can for 48 minutes. I'm tired of this team laying down when it gets hard. I can cheer for a team that tries but I can't cheer for a team that quits.

I totally agree that it's about watching them play with heart, but that's exactly why we hang in there until the 3rd and then everyone runs out of gas. I can train with as much heart and hustle my tail off all I want and I will never be an NBA center standing at 5'10" no matter how badly I want it.

Our guys ARE trying I believe. Trying just doesn't put points on the board unfortunately. I'm not worried though. Our time will come. I really hope Otis is gone by next year though. We will be alright, but i suggest to all of you guys to pick a team to root for this year as a secondary because no matter how hard we try, we just aren't built to win games.

Yes 28 people thought he was untouchable and had a potential to be a star. That doesn't say "Ryan is better than Ellis". An overwhelming majority of people wanted Monta Ellis over here. I remember people saying they would be sad to see him go, but the upside of having Ellis would be awesome.

I already admitted that:

I know the majority of us here wanted Ellis even if we had to give up Ryan.

BTW, isn't this generalizing:

arsenal6106 wrote:People need to stop generalizing.

Noooo, it's based on the poll you linked to(viewtopic.php?f=25&t=1165464)

The question was.. Is Ryan Anderson Untouchable?

71% of the people voted- No, Get Dwight Help: Nash would make this team a true contender, or Ellis could be the most talented team mate D12 has ever had.

I would say that this is a majority.

Calm yourself. . . . let me rephrase that. SOME people thought Ryan was better than Ellis.I could easily name names but I won't

I'm calm. People need to stop generalizing. And if that list of names adds up to more than 10 people(I'm being generous here) then you have a case.

You're making this bigger than it was meant to be. . . I was laughing at the guys that were arguing with me, Blue_and_Whte, and I think DJ. They kept forcing this crap that Ryan was the better player, was more efficient, blah blah blah. Also, I didn't want a "case", aqnd if I did you wouldn't be the one to choose how many people I needed to name. . . Especially since I phrased it wrong and wanted to add "some" to it. . . I know the majority of us here wanted Ellis even if we had to give up Ryan.

Fair enough. I've been guilty of rephrasing my statements poorly and you yourself have called me out on it. Btw, I'm semi- calm. This damn season is taking a toll on me!

Again, for the millionth time, NO ONE will give us good value for Dwight as a rental. So Dwight will determine where he's going.

I know it would have been nice to see a win or at least a more competitive game, but we just don't have the talent.

Return to Orlando Magic
