Something interesting to watch in summer league: Orlando's Victor Oladipo getting major run at PG - in mold of young Russell Westbrook.

I'm excited for it. I hope he surprises and pulls a Westbrook. Would be awesome to have that kind of athleticism at PG.

That's may work for the Clips if they get JJ and Ilyasova. Interesting rumor there, and the Bucks may actually do it. They do stuff that doesn't make sense, so they could keep Jennings and try to trade him later i guess.

No, they'll put their eggs in the "having more than one target" basket. It's not like Afflalo is head and shoulders about the rest of the guys mentioned.

I'm all about a team keeping its options open, but at this rate, the Clippers will be attached to every available shooting guard in the league before the day is over.

While I didn't call you an idiot, because I think Oladipo is capable of doing anything, I didn't think that they would be trying to see what he could do at the 1 so soon. Good call.

That being said, experimenting in the guy's first summer league experience and playing a regular season game are two completely different things.

I maintain that at the end of all of this, Oladipo will be capable of handling himself at the 1 for short stretches...strictly for matchup purposes. I do not see him actually converting to the 1 or even playing significant time there.

According to an ESPN LA reporter, the Clippers are talking to Mil about a Bledsoe/Redick swap. Man, LA is connected to every shooting guard on the planet right now. I'm thinking its all about leverage.

Notice that everything that has been said according to Bledsoe has all come from LA and not from the other side....they are leaking stuff left and right, trying very hard to increase value but good GM's aren't buying it.

I still don't understand why you guys think the Clippers need so much leverage. It seems more likely that they just don't want to put all their eggs in the Arron Afflalo basket. Can you blame them? He makes way too much for what he would be giving them.

Which only makes sense. They consider themselves to be title contenders and they already have big money committed to the other 4 positions. If they weren't actively chasing every available SG, we would be calling Sterling every bad name in the book.

I don't know why they'd even consider a 2 guard who can't shoot. Derozen and Allen don't make sense, unless they're happy with bringing Crawford/Billups off the bench to play behind a non-shooter.
