I understand that. But it all ties together.

Daunte was a great college player, but his teams didn’t have great success relatively speaking and he didn’t play as difficult of a schedule top to bottom (and the tougher teams they did play they lost to.)

IMO Milton played better teams on a week-to-week basis and had more success on top of having video game stats.

i still dont see Milton as a better player than Daunte

I guess it was bound to happen eventually, kinda sucks they basically only played one real good quarter to lose by 1. If nothing else the pressures off now but here comes the media **** storm for the next week or two

I think Heupel is a good coach and Gabriel is going to be an excellent QB, but one of two things has to happen moving forward.

1. Heupel has to tell Gabriel that he MUST keep the ball at least once or twice a game on a few of these inside zone read plays. Because the defense is just straight up selling out on the running backs because they know Gabriel’s just never going to keep the ball.

2. If Gabriel is unwilling or unable to keep the ball on the inside zone read, that’s fine, but if that is the case then stop calling so many friggin inside zone reads!

The whole genesis and concept of that play is the QB literally making a read off the edge defender and determining his course of action based on that defenders action.

If Gabriel isn’t willing or capable of pulling the ball out of the RBs gut and running himself, and he doesn’t have to do it 10 times a game just once or twice to keep the edge defender honest and create a wider crease for the backs, then Heupel has to change the scheme.

Sorry UCF bros. I was hoping you guys got the win. Meanwhile, UF started a QB who hasn't started since his freshman year in high school LOL. But at least we (UF and UCF) aren't the Noles.

Only a couple complaints.

I thought our play calling to start the game was terrible. Pitt was obviously jacked up, and Gabriel is a true freshman. As amazing as he looked against Stanford, he looked rough the game before. Coaches didn’t do him any favors.

Didn’t care for our game management in the second half of the fourth....felt like we were playing counter to the actual game feel.

Life goes on. Our kids are still amazing, and I’ll enjoy watching them just as much next game.

Roller coaster. Falling behind by 21 to then go up by 31... and then to lose like that. Hurts a lot but now the pressure is off. Lots of work to do!

UCF's defense was awful, as it has been many times over the last 2 1/2 years.

Frankly I was not happy about the offensive line in many plays.

So: this season is now in doubt.

But I do like the QB. And the multi-year recruitment, I do think "no matter what", the Knights is well positioned for another string year next year.

I am a Knight first and always. But I actually spent more time in my studies in Buckyland.

Watching my Badgers dismantle Mich, well I am sorry RealGMers, my seasons focus will shift for this year.

its hard to find, but you guys need to find someone that will stay there for more than a couple of years. easier said than done, but continuity with all the recruiting, and recent (3-4 yr) track record could really propel you guys. I'm wishing for the best. While i went to Bama, i did live in Orlando and my wife graduated from UCF. I worked the restaurant business in the late 90's there.

You are right. I meant they went 31-0 after falling behind 21-0.

As much as talk as there's been about UCF kinda surprised they didn't use this to drop em out of the top 25.

How they bounce back will tell us a lot, I think Uconn is in for an ass whooping for something they didnt even do :o

i could see the case for them being 3-5 more spots higher. I mean, Michigan beat Army by a hair and MTSU. they are living on Harbough's reputation, which sinks more and more each year

Just read on ESPN that with Houston having started 1-3, their QB King (and one of their WRs) are going to now redshirt and come back next year (probably).

Man, a healthy senior starter using the four game redshirt option? Can’t imagine that was what the rule makers envisioned when they passed it...

It’s certainly a strategic move.

This looks to be a marginal year for Houston at best.

If he stays, then next year is a reload with the staff and roster having settled down somewhat.

If he leaves, then he can go where he sees himself as a good fit.

Don’t most expect that King will be moving on to somewhere else next season?
