Yeah but if true that’s good. Last thing we need is to make a deal where we get declining players or bench fodder.

Really does feel like Denver with Hampton + 2021 1st + one of Harris or Barton for Gordon and Birch makes a lot of sense.

Considering all rumors, I keep coming back to a Denver trade just like that or a 3 way trade with Houston and Miami where the Rockets get AG, the Heat get Oladipo and we get Nunn, the Bucks or Blazers pick and expiring filler.

Denver's very high on Hampton, heard the prospect offered would more than likely be Bol. My guess from a Denver perspective would be Bol + Harris + 2021 1st

Easy pass on Bol for me. He seems to be an overrated bum just due to the novelty of his size.

We're also having issues with Bamba as it is. He barely plays due to our star playing that position.

I don't understand though. Portland and Orlando just need to make the deal. GTJ+Collins+Hood for Aaron Gordon. It makes too much sense for both teams. I think that's fair value.

Its not a bad offer but i think wolves, rockets warriors can give us more. Trent is nice but you need to give him a new contract, Collins is meh for us and first is the least interesting of all those teams

Maybe... I'm not giving a first here though. I wouldn't include a first with Trent as I believe there's a solid chance that he's a better player than Gordon 2 years from now.

I don't think Houston is going to be buyers. What value do you believe the Warriors would give you? Paschall and some picks? Certainly not Wiseman. Wolves could give value, but that depends on whether you believe in a guy like Culver being worth what Trent is. You're not getting the Wolves picks without big protections.

You can take out Collins but without 1st its a no deal for us. We can propably squeeze Rubio+ Nowell+ 1st from wolves.

Edit. Warriors are a wild card i have no idea how desperate they are to compete this year.

You're not sniffing a Wolves first without huge protections. Do you really want 30 year old Rubio? Magic need to start over with Isaac, Fultz and hit in the high end of the draft. I think there's a pretty large delta between Trent and Nowell defensively. I think Trent is significantly more valuable than Nowell. Trent has true 3rd option playoff starter potential, while Nowell looks more like a bench shooter to me. But hey, if you're comfortable with that.

I just don't think the Wolves are going to give up attainable 1sts for a guy of Gordon's caliber while they are continually competing for top overall picks.

Your problem with moving Gordon is that he's a fine, solid, useful player. But the luster of "potential" has worn off. He's not getting lottery picks at this point, you're either going to get a former high pick who may have some potential but has only flashed it+a mid/late 1st. Some solid veterans. Or a young player that's flashing solid, not "all-star" skills and ability. Wolves aren't giving high 1sts for Aaron Gordon. Warriors aren't giving up Wiseman. What's Houston going to give? Not Wood. Maybe a late Nets 1st+Houst & Nwaba? Bottom feeders will be looking to acquire Gordon and flip him. Playoff teams tend to struggle to assemble assets that are worth giving up while still matching salary with players that aren't overly useful.

Edit: I'd be fine with removing Collins and adding in a 1st instead. However, the money doesn't stack up if that happens. If I'm adding in DJJ+Trent+Hood I'm removing the 1st. DJJ isn't amazing, but he's a solid player with room for growth and is very young. If I'm Portland I don't think Gordon makes the team better than Trent+DJJ.

Here's a fantasy 3-team trade (ORL-NOP-DEN). Massive roster overhauls.

Vuc/Bamba
Chuma/Bol/Green/Aminu
Isaac/Dozier/Ennis/Bacon
NAW/Harris/JJ
Fultz/Cole/MCW

Add a top 5 pick to that roster... Cade or Green or Kuminga or Suggs - would look real exciting really quickly.

Obviously Cliff would have some very different depth charts.

Shame it's total fantasy. Can't see those teams moving so many pieces all at once.

So Tucker was traded and Atl maybe wanting to keep Collins that leaves the a pf market down to Grant in Detroit and AG, maybe teams will up their offers now that the market is drying up. I hope our FO's "patience" pays off and some team gets desperate and gives up a lot.(but I'm not optimistic)

I don;t think DET will trade Grant. The dude just signed with them this season, how would it look if they immediately traded a player who wanted to play for them?

Can someone explain why everyone is so infatuated with Gary Trent Jr? He seems to be worse than Fournier and looking for a huge pay day.

There are like there are like 5-6 teams needing a versatile forward and only Barnes and Gordon being on the market ( and Barnes is really not). Seems like good planing.

6'5ish player so just right for SG.
Plays defense better than Evan.
Showed steady improvement every year he is/was in the league.
Has 3pt range.
Is a scorer.
Doesn't disappear in the playoffs.
Potential to be greater due to the fact he is playing behind 2 allstars.

Maybe package AG and Bamba together, might get a decent return.

Trent would be a great get. He’s already proven he can put up numbers at 22. Better defender and all around player than Evan at the same age doesn’t need the ball in his hands to be effective.

YES PLEASE!!!

If this was to happen.... i would be excited.

OUT: Fournier and Aminu

IN: Hampton, Bol Bol, Gary Harris, and 1st and a 2nd Round pick

Harris could show us some potential with a change of scenery... otherwise... we only have a year and maybe hampton or a high pick could make their mark and take the SG position.

Bol Bol... we'll see if he's a swing and a miss.... but... happy to be able to swing.

and the picks give us more flexibility in the future.
