He hasn't looked good offensively at all, which is unfortunately what I expected. Of course, he's coming back from a long injury layoff, so he will likely improve, but his shooting hasn't been good in years and with the lack of playmaking and scoring threats on our team that's unlikely to change this season.

Have a feeling next season will be another evaluation year.

Yes, our FO basically got a 4-year extension to handle the rebuild.

This was a big reason for my opposition to the decisions made recently. I have very little faith in this couple to make the right choices and disagree with rewarding inaction and lack of meaningful progress with more time to kick the can down the road.

I give them a pass on what they've done so far, because they've been building the values of the players we traded. If you count WCJ and Hampton as first round picks, we basically got 5 firsts, 2 seconds, and a TPE. That was a huge haul and set us up to be really good soon.

If we're evaluating Jalen Green, Hampton, Cole, WCjr another 10 pick and the return of the 2 guys on IR, then im great with that

Im just hoping we dont sign any vets and give them PT over the young guys in an effort to the make the playoffs next year

If next year is an evaluation year, then the starting 5 better be

WC | Okeke | Isaac | Green | Fultz
and the top guys off the bench are Hampton, cole, Bulls Pick and maybe Bamba unless someone offers us a good 1st rounder for him, but even then, i doubt we would bring in 4 rookies

we dont need to evalute Ross, ennis, Harris, Otto, MCW etc, they can all go

He moves quick and also can stay with his man. I get now where that "defender" tag comes from.

Offense, he is a shooter. Meaning I don't see him go into the trees like RJ / Cole and scores above the rim. I see him as an old-school SG where he shoots 3s, drive-stop-shoot and things like that.

I LOVE that we are finally rebuilding instead of aiming for that 8th seed again, but man I have no confidence in this FO to make the right moves. Wish we could get Presti or hell even Hinkie

Anybody see this Vucevic quote? If this has already been posted please excuse it.

New Bulls center Nikola Vucevic said he wasn’t surprised that Orlando traded him at the deadline. “It wasn’t out of nowhere, we’d had discussions prior to it, so it was kind of mutual; it wasn’t just out of nowhere,” Vucevic said (via Alex Kennedy of Basketball News). “They pretty much just let me know that the trade was happening and said, ‘You’re going to Chicago.’ Honestly, even though I had an idea that it could happen, it was still a big shock to me.”

Seems like AG was speaking the truth when he said that he wasn't the only one that wanted out, now AG's team went about advertising it in a whole different way.

With Harris on the book, Orlando's big FA move pushed out (yet) another year.
Fultz out half of the season.
Breaking in two/three rookies.
Will have a roster where most players are under 24 years of age.
Ross will be with the Magic for his 6th year, after that Isaac is the longest tenured Magician. And average year's served will be TWO on next years roster.

Yes you are correct.

We woudnt make a big FA move with or without Harris. Its the 1st full year of the rebuild with maybe the youngest team in the leaque. Neither the FO would spend in that situation nor would anyone sign with us.

He’s had some injuries that probably attributed to that but he’s a career 35% 3pt shooter. If he can stay healthy I think he could bounce back.

Gary Harris was very good, promising young player and even averaged 17ppg, but his healthy and body fell apart. Hopefully he can get it together.
Same with Otto.

It's a shame how injuries destroy careers of young players. Those guys broke down at age of 25.

Is this the narrative on Fultz and Isaac in 5-years time?

tbh their medical records are way worst:
degenerative shoulder condition, acl tear, multiple knee injuries before acl tear...

I came on here expecting to be fireworks... And tank memes of our players and excitement... Based on how people felt about shooting for a top pick.... And if course the second we start losing... Which is required to get said pick.... Everyone is doom and gloom... Wanting fire management for doing what they wanted... And wanting to give up on players because they aren't playing to their potential .... Yada yada yada....

Lol... Oh this magic board never ceases to amaze me.
