I couldn't hear the calls. I had to either interpret the refs hand signs or know by what happened next in the game. free thows, turnover, etc.

I agree it was very loud I couldn't hear the whistles from the refs. But it did get quiet for awhile when the Magic were losing the lead. Everyone seemed to get nervous at that point. But after they regained composure it got loud again. I don't think the clapper things were very loud though, I feel like the two balloon sticks they gave out before are much louder.

So you want to not hear the announcers to get "atmosphere?" I don't think you understood that you often could not hear the loudspeaker or talk to someone next to you in the arena. It would be extremely annoying to try to watch a game on TV with all that background noise. there's good reason to screen out crowd noise.

it'd be nice to at least hear the crowd and be able to tell it's loud in the first place. They don't have to blast it or not screen it at all, but at least put it at the same levels as the other games. Then again i'm listening to the Celtics game and it's low as well, so it might just be TNT (where as ESPN's games were louder).

Not really but I think they should adjust it a bit so people at home can get a better atmosphere. Let the announcers talk a little louder and give us a little more crowd noise. Not asking them to completely shut out the announcers but just adjust the crowd noise up a little on the production side for the viewers at home. So we can get a better atmosphere at home.

Was the crowd a sell-out? O-sen had an article yesterday with 600 tix left.

Are you saying it was loud on your Tv because it seemed like it was very quiet on my TV, and I have a killer HD tv. I was watching the Detroit game, and the crowd seemed a lot louder, so I am wondering what the hell is going on. I noticed from the start that the crowd didn't seem loud at all, but the announcer said that it was very loud in there, so I was like damn, it doesn't sound loud to me.

Ya i went to the magic game and it was insanely loud and then i came home and watched the pistons game and am watching the celtics game and those both seem very quite but the people look like they are going nuts. i think TNT is drowning out the crowd and amping up the commentators. But it was definitely loud in the Amway

Ive watched games on national television where you can hear the announcers and still hear the crowd going nuts. TNT just did a bad job

On the radio they said it was listed as a sell out, but the upper end zone on the white side had a fair amount of empty seats, not a lot but too many. Lower bowl was packed

The Magic crowd seemed loud on TV when you guys went on those two huge runs in the 1st and 4th quarters. But in between, especially near the end of the 2nd quarter and early 3rd, you could notice the difference, it seemed real quiet compared to how the game started out.

The only time the crowd wasn't loud was when the Raptors were making their run, especially when they cut it to 5. Other than that, Amway was rockin.

Glad to see I'm not the only one. I think UCFjaybird was feeling me too. Any way, the games broadcast by Sunshine or NBATV should be a lot better.

Officially it's a sellout, but around there were quite a few empty seats on the side seats of the upper bowl.

I think I had magicmamma stare down my Dwight white pinstripe jersey going towards my section.

For anyone debating the crowd volume, YOUTUBE VIDEOS TO COME! The introductions were NUTS, Paul Porter keeps proving that he's the f*cking man and I love that he went old school with the music. :D

We truly have the loudest atmosphere in the league, not even damn close when we get our sh*t together. The clapper ended up being pretty damn cool (even if they may sound weird on t.v.).

We played a phenomenal game (especially Dwight, Jameer, Hedo, Mo and Rashard defensively). Dwight was a man amongst boys while Hedo and Rashard did what they've been doing all season.

Kebo and Ninja played pretty calmly and diverted to the stars when needed. Speaking of those two, I was sitting right next to Kebo's girlfriend to start the game in 102, then she was eventually moved down towards Ninja's family members (his daughter had a cute free throw sign).

Well Jameer said before this series that he needed to man up and kick ass and he outplayed the hell out of Forderon. :D Jameer in the postgame said that he doesn't read or watch what the media says but he has people close to him always talking about how he was going to outplay those 2 Raptor PGs and it pissed him off. Great to hear and hopefully he keeps up the effort.

That 1st quarter was UNBELIEVABLE and then we did great to not completely blow it when the Raptors were making a run. The fact that the lead was lowered to 5 was a blessing in disguise, no way to let down on Tuesday.

Fat Guy and Sweater Vest Guy came through in classic fashion.

The refs were overall pretty good. They gave each team their fair share of make-up calls.

That band at halftime was awesome as well.

I can't wait to go back for Game 2, dropping over a hundred on Game 1 was so worth it.
Especially when I got to shut these 2 Raptor fans up a few times.

I only saw two Raptors jerseys the whole night...

So much for some Raptors fans thinking they'd outnumber Magic fans....hahaha. Gawd.

And yes Adam, Fat Guy and Sweater Vest Guy were in prime form tonight.

He's is also a "plump" guy.

He's an older dude at seemingly every game constantly haggling the refs.

LOL not even close. GSW >>>>> EVERY OTHER NBA ARENA.

I love how the Magic fans are trying to justify the loudness of the arena.. reality check, it wasn't loud at all. Heck, I dont even think it was a sell out judging by the number of vacant seats in the upper bowl..

Anyways, best of luck in Game 2.
