Magic folks might want to get on the same page here. @RicBucher reporting that Orlando GM Otis Smith said he did give permission.

No, it won't.

lets see, another superstar may be leaving Orlando yet again and you think it will get better someday. Even if we were given the number 1 overall draft pick yet again and he became a superstar, what do you think that superstar would do 5-6 years later? Depressing to think about.

Agent Dan Fegan says Magic gave Howard permission to speak with teams. Magic CEO Martins tells @sam_amick not so much. bit.ly/viA8hm

Ok, so we've got a little cat fight going on here. Great.

Wondering what will happen after his exit. Will RDV sell the team? New Coach/GM?
The Magic will go on and I will still be a fan. I can only hope that the next group of players in college/HS will see what this group of spoiled super friends has done to the league. Maybe they would take the challenge of leading thier own teams. I love watching basketball and hope Lebron and his little clan of followers dont screw it up beyond repair.

I'm not sure whats happening here. If this is true this is an incredible mess. This coupled with the Gilbert trade that cost the owner and extra 20 million. It doesn't make sense. I just don't know what to make of this anymore.

The silver lining here is that this is sure to get Otis fired.

Some people are embarrassing themselves. I hope its the media and our front office is not this incompetent to know whether permission was granted or not
