We just need a spark. Like I said earlier in this thread..the offense is so stale and boring. The ball movement is nonexistent. They dribble down court and pass to the guy closest to Dwight...so that guy can force the ball to Dwight. Used to be too much shooting 3's and no Dwight. Now it's forcing to Dwight and DESTROYING our ball movement. There is no pushing the ball..nobody going to the basket...nobody moving. Everybody is standing at their stations behind the 3pt line waiting.

yes they are dribbling the court but not to the basket.

Ish Smith isn't the savior to this team. He is terrible on defense, and fouls way too often. I was impressed the first game, 2nd game was eh. First game he was good but was just hacking. Wafer I am impressed with but he isn't a PG. You just don't throw a SG into a PG spot and say play PG. Even though I WOULD LOVE to see Wafer play PG in or 2 games...

And Jameer and Duhon aren't???

No they aren't. The fact is our offense is killing us not our defense, same thing as last year. When Joe Johnson keeps matching up with Jameer Nelson, we are going to get cooked. We need a better PG, better than Ish Smith.

Even if they were, they're not, but if they were good at defense why not risk 6 more ppg for 8 more (not factual just trying to prove a point  ) Ish pushes the ball and he LOOKS to SET teammates up... and Wafer DRIVES TO THE BASKET!!! that alone is worth PT. well, I might give Duhon SOME credit on D, but, not Meer.

Ill agree that Duhon needs to find his way to the deepest end of bench. I just want to find anybody. ANYBODY is better than Duhon.

We need to start a free Von Wafer campaign. He has his shortcomings, but this team really needs a nice spark off the bench.

I think Duhon getting mins is more of an issue than Vafer not getting any minutes.

I thought it was pointless too, but I looked around the league at the 20 teams that have 3 or more SGs and the average MPG for the 3rd SG is 10.5. Wafer is at 13.2, but that is because he played a ton of minutes when J-Rich was out. He has had 9 DNPCD, significantly more than the average 3rd string SG, and without the J-Rich replacement games, is averaging near 5MPG, lower than all but 3 3rd string SGs in the league.

You could take from Duhon and give to Wafer. Just tinker the rotations a bit. Wafer only needs 10-14 a game. I would think about closing the 2nd half with 8 minutes of Wafer. Then bring him in at the end of the 3rd or early 4th for 4-6 minutes before closing the game out with whomever.

4.JJ
5.Wafer
6.Nelson

8.Earl Clark

10.Big Baby
11.Ish Smith
12.DeAndre Liggins

Counting offense and defense I'll go

1. Dwight
2. Anderson
3. Jameer
4. Redick
5. Hedo
6. J-Rich
7. Wafer.
8. Big Baby
9. Clark
10. Harper
11. Ish
12. Liggins
13. Ortan
14. Duhon.

We have such a logjam at SG/SF, I just hope we make a move at the deadline to get us a better PG. We have a bunch of average players, but the problem is its hard to move average players when they have bad contracts to unload the logjam.

Gotta give credit to Ryan tonight. He's been having a good season, but tonight he really mixed his game up and acted like he was "the man" out there. Showed some good fight and confidence. I hope that is the Ryan Anderson we see every game from here on out.
