People talking about wanting Paul George in the tanking thread... :noway: :noway: :noway:

There's a better plan for SF and that's Jackson, Isaac or Tatum. BUT WE NEED TO TANK!

I'm going to be pissed if NO, with Davis and Cousins (only 1 game behind us) gets a better pick than us. It is ridiculous that we with a bunch of scrubs are 1 game worse than a team with Anthony freaking Davis and DMC.

It tells you that the twin towers model is dead and ancient. Small ball teams will dominate you. That team can still win but they need a serious wing upgrade. Solomon Hill ? Hollis Thompson? They ares starting a d league guy and a guy that got CUT from the 76rs! AD and Cousins need to drop 30 each to stand a chance.

The more I look at it and watch the games the more it becomes apparent that this is a top 3 draft (Fultz/ball/Jackson) which we will once again fall short from. I'm not saying that the next 4 won't amount to as much success but it's definitely more of a risk(kinda like Gordon).

Your probably right but I do feel the talent level after 3 is way higher then that 2014 draft. If we walk away with Issac, Tatum or Monk Id be quite happy with that.

Yeah, it'll be surprising if we end up a better team than the Pelicans with 2 top 10 players. They are in the west though, so that skews it some. Either way, they probably don't get to keep the pick.

Off-topic but man, everyone killed the Kings for the Cousins trade but they might get a decent package out of it. They'll get NO's pick, which now looks like it'll be top 6, they already got their own pick, which if it stays in the top 10, they get to keep it (otherwise they send it to Chicago), and they have Hield, who looks a lot better on Sacramento than on New Orleans. The Kings could rebuild this thing pretty quickly, while the Pelicans are struggling mightily zagging while everyone else -- including us, finally -- is zigging with two big men. Hell, they might lose Cousins for nothing next summer.

More importantly we lost a crazy game too. God bless Bogdanović. We won't catch PHX nor Lakers so we just have to protect 4th odds.

Kings are seriously in full tank mode. They were up 6 or 7 with 1:35 left and I thought the game was over. Just checked the score and saw they lost in Overtime smh. Their tank is coming right at us

Without Cousins and a whole bunch of players moving into new roles this was to be expected...

I guess so but I've watched them since the trade and they're not much worse without him, as New Orleans isnt much better if at all with him. It's just clear now that they're tanking and blowing leads. This game made it very clear. They controlled and were up double digits against a very good jazz team most of the game. It's hard to lose a 7 point lead with under two minutes to go unless you're intentionally trying to.

Bad teams usually find ways to lose... But we'll agree to disagree on that this one.

On the bright side the Suns have won the last 2 games... So we're two games behind them right now between that 3rd/2nd Slot (Depending on the Lakers).

1.While your upset that they might get a better pick than us, it's not too much you can do about it! (I understand your frustration)

&

2. DMC and AD only played a handful of games together, so losing is expected especially with no team chemistry!

I still can't believe Sac lost, that was one of the most magnificent tank jobs I've ever seen.

Best kind of loss. But I'm scared that we are going to start winning games now.

Phoenix is on a 3-game winning streak :o

Edit: to the current low-end standings.

10-51 Nets is a full 8 games worse than the 29th worst team; Boston will get a nice pick.
19-44 Lakers is not trying to win games. Now a full 2-games worse than Phoenix. Orlando has a ~50/50 to get a high second.
21-42 Suns is playing really well of late. Two game over the Magic but climbing.
23-40 Magic is playing to win games, but....
23-39 Sixers is also playing to win games (together the Suns, Magic, and Sixers look to fight out the climb to fifth worst).
25/26 - and: Knicks, Timberwolves, Kings, Mavericks, and Blazers is a real race from 6th to 10th. Huge shifts to the expected here.

I really think I ought to start thinking Tatum/Isaac/Smith/Monk with our pick rather than top 3.

Its about time we get the lottery luck though
