I would love to get Portland 17 (#11), Memphis 17 (#21), Vonleh and Crabbe for Ibaka and DJ.

If we are doing a full scale rebuild, taking in crabbe's contract is horrible

Then write better realistic trade. Also his sallary won't be problem as in that situation we would have alot of players on rookie contract.

How so? You still have Biyombo, you still have Fournier, you still have Vucevic, and in top of that you have vonleh, Gordon, and Payton who are all up for extensions. Adding crabbe to that disaster isn't good.

Something like Ibaka, augustin, Hezonja for aminu, davis, Ezeli, Portland first top 10 protected, and Cleveland first. I could get behind that. Not sure Portland would do it or they might be willing to give up the Memphis pick instead of their own.
I live rent free in your head. You know who you are :D

Not changing this sig until Magic win a championship. Started 6/26/2015.

I don't think a Vonleh extension is much of a problem. He should try another sport. Basketball doesn't suit him.

Someone please make a juicy trade rumor about us! The Marc Stein article told us nothing we didn't already know.

Raptors/Clips interested in Gallo? Wonder if Toronto picks him up would they have a need for Ibaka? This is the difficulty of waiting too long. You never know what else might be cooking.

Patterson/Sullinger/Powell for Serge/Mario is a trade the Magic would do (mainly for Powell). Will TOR?

A signal we don't know how to draft, because after two seasons we trade our #5 pick in 2015 + Ibaka for two fillers and #46 pick in 2015 :banghead:

And I'm not even looking back and considering if we make this trade we would have traded #2, #5, #11 + Ilyasova for #46 pick.

When #46, aka Powell goes to the AllStar, we wont regret to do this trade. He's so good. We will see.

I completely agree on both counts. And the Magic will actually be trading a #11 pick (Sabonis), a #5 pick (Mario), a #2 pick (Dipo), and Ibaka for mainly #46 pick Powell when its all said and done (hypothetically). That's getting totally out-hustled in drafting skill, and lines up with my last post in the other thread. BUT, one thing this FO can be considered very good with, is picking out hidden diamonds from NBA players who have been in the league already for 1-2 seasons or so (Vooch, Tobias, Fournier). I don't know why it is, maybe they must scout really well post-draft, like it rounds out everything they learned from the pre-draft scouting, and that their NBA level analytics (from Lloyd probably) are also above par probably. If the Magic made that trade, it's because they see something with good confidence in Powell.

you dont get to double up. If you want to say we are trading the #11, #5 and #2, thats it. Because #11 and 5 got Ibaka.

Lucas is a 24 year old center who is playing 20+ minutes on a really good playoff team. Great finisher and shot blocker. Ross is what he is. A rotation player on a contender. Doesn't need the dribble to be effective (good complement to Elf). I'd be surprised if we could get much better.

5 ppg. 5 rpg in 20 mins, just looks like a back up center. not seeing anything special

Have you noticed that he has 1spg and 1.8bpg in 20mpg as well?

Also, everyone is clamoring about Norman Powell or Sam Dekker, but they're in practically the same boat as far as volume stats go (for what its worth, I like both of them).

The thing about Bebe is that he is also an elite finisher in the minutes he's played. Over 70% on 2P attempts and 65% on free throws. I get a poor mans Tyson Chandler vibe from him. No matter what, I think it's clear that he is a rotational player on a good team. Just get him a shot creator at the PG and we're good to go.

BB was a rotational player on a good team too.

Portlando now has the picks to swing big.

Post#851 » by Ramore » Mon Feb 13, 2017 6:56 am

Hey guys first time posting here so here it goes.

Most have heard about the denver to Portland trade that netted an additional first round pick for the trailblazers. I can't help but think this has to do with a potential deal with Orlando. So my questions for the Magic fans are would you do this deal? And do you think Portland would?

http://www.espn.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=j9av5ol
Essentially the deal is the Magic give up Vucevic and Ibaka but get back Aminu, Ezeli, and Ed Davis. Obviously we are taking on players they don't want and bad contracts so they would also give us their first round pick and the Memphis first round pick for 2017. We don't get any young prospects but we get two first round picks.

We would get worse immediately to push the tank further hopefully pushing the Lakers out of the top 3 and with some draft luck we could draft Ball / Monk / Rabb to start the rebuild in full.

Thoughts from the fellow magic fans? I would love to trade one of those guys to Boston for Crowder or Brown but they don't seem like they will consider it.

Rumor has it that POR is trying to use a draft pick to get rid of Ezeli's awful contract and yet here he is in this trade.

Yes but they are talking a late second. But if he was part of a bigger deal then we can get a better pick don't you think.

This is a pretty terrible idea. I hope the Magic can do a lot better.

I would do that trade.

I'm sure you would... but there's not a cold chance in hell Portland's doing that.

Ezeli has a team option for next year, so they shouldnt have to attach much of for a team to take him for the rest of this year

thats a pretty bad deal for Orlando. 2 picks, but 2 non-lottery picks, and having to eat Davis' deal and Aminu is just a bench SF to me, nothing special, but his salary doesnt hurt much

Crabbe, 11th pick and ezeli for Biyombo, hezonja, greens contract, cj watsons contract, doesn't nukic play the 4? Biyombo would thrive with them because they have scoring guards like Toronoto did, just spit balling
