YES PLEASE!!!

If this was to happen.... i would be excited.

OUT: Fournier and Aminu

IN: Hampton, Bol Bol, Gary Harris, and 1st and a 2nd Round pick

Harris could show us some potential with a change of scenery... otherwise... we only have a year and maybe hampton or a high pick could make their mark and take the SG position.

Bol Bol... we'll see if he's a swing and a miss.... but... happy to be able to swing.

and the picks give us more flexibility in the future.

That would be an exceptional return, but it also makes sense for Denver in my eyes. The Aminu addition gives them the defensive 4 to replace Grant.

Vuc/Bamba
Gordon/Bol
Chuma/Ross/(Isaac)
Harris/Hampton
Cole/MCW/(Fultz)

Can hold on to Gordon for a potential draft night trade, unless there’s an offer for another promising young player/pick around. Like Gordon for Bledsoe + NAW + Pels Pick.

Yeah... agreed. Denver will look potent with those additions and upgrade for now and the future if he resigns.

Adding to the GSW trade earlier, what about Ross and Looney

GSW receives: Vucevic, Gordon, Fournier, Ross

Orlando recieves: Wiseman, Oubre, Wiggins, Min 1st, GSW 1st

GSW are loaded for the next 2-3 years, would have got MCW and/or Birch in there if I could. Lots of scoring and shooting for them.

Curry
Thompson/Fournier
Gordon/Ross
Green
Vucevic

Fultz/Cole
Wiggins
Oubre
Isaac/Okeke
Wiseman/Bamba

Wouldn't mind ending up with Powell in some kind of 3-way deal.

What would a deal look like? I am not sure what are they looking for. Maybe something with Denver and AG.

How much do you think he is going to get paid next year? $20Mish?

I don't know, could we trade AG for draft capital and a young guy and then try and sign Powell in the offseason with AG's vacated salary. Think he would be a nice fit.
He's on a hell of a heater.

I like this trade for Orlando, but do not love it.

It turns Fournier's expiring into interesting youth assets AND converts Aminu's contract into a more rounded back-up. But Harris' contract does not expire and for Orlando, I assume he would back-up Ross at SG. That is a double net-loss.

I see the start for a, when healthy, 2021/22 roster:
Fultz/Hampton/Anthony
Ross/Harris/Bacon
Issac/Carter-Williams/Clark
Gordon/Okeke/Bol Bol
Vučević/Bamba

Add two rookies and some trades to shuffle the assets (ahem: Gordon), one can assume that one of Hampton, Bol or the Nuggets pick will become an interesting player.

I like the Knicks version better in that link:
Fournier and Aminu for Knox, Rivers, Payton and the Detroit 2nd.

i) Payton serves an immediate need AND is expiring. ii) Rivers is cheap and will serve as a meaningful backup as is Knox and iii) Aminu's unloaded salary.

I guess it is the Knicks being so low below the salary line that allows this trade. In the end this is really about i) trading Fournier for Knox and dumping Aminu. I really, really like this for the 2021/22 cap. It is the ultimate reset for Orlando's salary line.

That's too much for Den to give up. I would love it, but too much value for an expiring and Aminu. Can't see ANYONE giving up 2 young assets AND 2 picks for Evan. Plus a solid (when healthy) rotational player.

Agree, that’s a Gordon pkg...not my favorite. Harris is ok, but neutral value-given his deal. Hampton is interesting, but not the shooter we need. Bol holds no interest from me and the picks are meh, so nickels for a quarter and no big $$$ savings due to Harris...the primary goal should be to get back one young guy with upside with some expiring filler and, if warranted, pick(s

Hampton could be interesting. If we deal with Den, he's someone I'd want.

league-wide, my wishful trade for Evan is to Philly for Thybulle + filler. I'd even be pretty happy with Ntilikina for Fournier. My logic is a young player with 3&D potential that could start or play with Cole in the 2nd unit. I hope we're able to get Cade or Green this draft, so a defensive, versatile player to mix with our guard core is ideal.

Denver Nuggets, Houston Rockets, Detroit Pistons and Portland Trail Blazers are said to be the main teams in play for AG. They are looking for multiple firsts or a first and a young prospect.

Assets that are valuable (and semi-realistic)

-Houston’s first
-Detroit’s first
-G Trent Jr
-A. Simons
-Sadiq Bey
-Killian Hayes
-PJ Dozier
-Zach Collins
-RJ Hampton
-Bol x2
-Porter Jr
-Sekou Doumbouya
-Denver’s first
-Houston’s 1st (from Portland)
-Houston’s 1st (from Milwaukee)

I assume Houston and Detroit's own 1sts this year are off the table unless they've heavily protected and with both of those teams being in the opening stages of lengthy rebuilds, the protections would probably push those picks out a decent bit.

Houston also doesn't have much on the player front, but they do have two extra 1st round picks if the Magic want to just cash in with picks.

Portland has expendable young talent, but owes a first in 2021. Same with Minnesota, who you didn't list.

Overall it feels like Denver is best fit in terms of having both big matching salaries and expendable young talent.

Yeah, I think Denver and Portland make the most sense in terms of matching salary and assets. The Houston and Detroit picks are off the table likely as you’ve mentioned. I think Houston could also potentially move those late firsts they are owed with filler. Don’t know if that would be enough.

NAW got the start with Ball out (hip injury) and stepped up with 20 points in a win over the Nuggets.

I still think the kid is worth a look if we can get the Pels to give him up. Though they could possibly lose all of JJ, Ball and Hart in the offseason so they may not be keen to empty their depth just yet.

Shams is reporting that Atlanta and NO is discussing a potential deal based around Lonzo and Reddish. I wouldn't mind seeing the Magic getting involved here. NO has been reported as having interest in Gordon. Reddish has been truly awful shooting the ball, but the defense is already very good, the size is there 6'8" height, 7'1" wingspan, and the shot doesn't look awful. He hits his free throws over 80% and finishes well.
Reddish could be a long term fit at the wing for us.

Id still do that trade without the draft picks
Evan for Hampton and Bol is a STEAL on the level of JJ for Harris, maybe even better. Sure i want as many 1st as possible ala the thunder, but if we could turn evan into hampton and bol....im taking that and running!

Pretty sure S. Bey and MPJ are untouchable right now (as far as our trades go), dont see the pistons giving up on hayes so soon, also Houston and det have top 5 picks, i seriously doubt they are trading those for anything we are offering

Send Gordon + Fournier to Philly with Kyle Lowry.

Philly sends out Harris + Green as bulk salary, Mike Scott as filler, and Milton + Maxey + Thybulle as the youth prize.

Toronto and Orlando fight over dispersion of those pieces.

Orlando probably takes Harris for competitive security sake, and then also get Maxey/Thybulle. I’d hope the Magic could push for Milton instead, as compensation for taking Harris’ contract, but he’s the main #2 value piece.

Raps then get Green + Milton + Thybulle/Maxey + Scott.

Vuc/Bamba
Isaac/Chuma
Harris/Ross
(21FRP)/Maxey
Fultz/Cole

WeHam probably love the idea of being poised for a quick bounce back season into the playoffs with Vuc/Harris at the helm on offense. Harris is overpaid but that’s the best we can hope for right now.

Return to Orlando Magic
