Mitchell averaged 28.3 PPG on a .614 TS% in the regular season. He averaged 23.2 PPG on a .518 TS%.
Basically a total pathetic no show by a guy that's going to make either the All-NBA first team or second team, ya know?
A lot of shooters/scorers aren't stepping up in the playoffs. Opportunities shrink and play is much more physical. It's why I simply don't think getting shooters takes a team to the next level. You need three level scorers and guys with the mental fortitude to step up. Guys like Jimmy Butler kind of get overlooked the entire regular season and every postseason they just step up.
Heat went from one of the bottom 4 shooting teams in the league for 82 games and I think right now they're shooting the highest 3% percentages in a series ever.
