Per @sam_amick, one guy Orlando likes at 19 is Perry Jones http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2012/w ... index.html

Perry Jones III may be sliding down the draft due to a meniscus issue in his knee, according to multiple sources. Opinions from league doctors vary in terms of the seriousness, but it may require surgery down the road.

Sounds like something the Magic would do, lol.

What about 19-49 for 21-22 from Celtics?

I think Liggins can be a starter in this league. He is a solid defensive player who is athletic in taking the ball to the hoop. Plus, he gotz handles. Dude is going to surprise people.

He's a solid passer too. Makes the easy smart play.

06/28/12 11:39 AM EST – Alex Kennedy:

Dwight Howard’s departure from the Orlando Magic seems inevitable, with sources close to the situation characterizing the relationship between the superstar and the organization as irreparable. Sources say Howard no longer wants to be in Orlando and he won’t give the franchise the long-term commitment they’re seeking this summer. Howard hopes to be traded and he has been exploring all of his options in recent days.

Rob Hennigan, who was hired as Orlando’s new general manager last week, wants to salvage the relationship with Howard, but the damage may already be done. Howard seems ready to move on, with the Brooklyn Nets atop his list of preferred destinations. Howard has long coveted a trade to Brooklyn, where he would team up with Deron Williams, but sources close to the situation say that the Nets don’t have the trade assets to acquire Howard.

The Houston Rockets, fully aware of the strained relationship between Howard and the Magic, have been stockpiling draft picks in an attempt to trade for the superstar center. The Rockets are still trying to acquire first-round picks in the hours leading up to the draft, specifically the Sacramento Kings’ fifth overall pick and Toronto Raptors’ eighth overall pick. Houston knows that Hennigan would prefer to rebuild through the draft, following the same model as the Oklahoma City Thunder, where he was the assistant general manager under Sam Presti. If Orlando has given up hope of retaining Howard, Houston seems to be the frontrunner to acquire the All-Star center.

I wonder how much he would help us though - he can put the ball in the hoop, there's no question about that. Combine him with Dwight inside and Ryan outside and suddenly we might have the scorer we needed. Replacing JRich with Tyreke has to be considered an upgrade, and a significant one.

Just read that the Magic MUST make a first round selection this year since they traded last years pick. According to the CBA, you can not trade first round draft picks in consective years. If Im missing something, let me know.

Zmill Draft Day Thoughts

- Anthony Davis vs Thomas Robinson will be Howard vs Okafor Pt 2. Except Robinson won't end up a career scrub, he'll be a David West/Paul Millsap/Boozer level PF.

- If Perry Jones or Sullinger fall you take them. Both are lottery talents. Even if they are not positions of need, you groom them, show them off a little, ship them out 2 years down the road FOR a position of need.

- Don't freak out if the Magic trade their pick.

- Draymond Green will be the next late first round solid contributor for the Spurs.

- J-Rich will not be dumped on the T-Wolves anymore..they already traded for Budinger

Really, Alex? You needed sources to tell you that the Nets don't have trade assets? :nonono:
