Probably BS, but thought i'd share

I love the information age. College buddy tweets me that Paul Millsap is on his flight to Orlando. They can create space to sign him by waiving either Turkoglu (50%guarantee on last year) or Harrington (50% guarantee on last two years)

I still don't understand why you guys think the Clippers need so much leverage. It seems more likely that they just don't want to put all their eggs in the Arron Afflalo basket. Can you blame them? He makes way too much for what he would be giving them.

You're kidding, right? Starting shooting guard that's a perfect third option and can play harassing defense at $7Mill permyear is right on the number or maybe even underpaid on that team.

Harassing defense

Interesting. Dipo, Hark, Harris, Millsap, Vuc.... Not bad assuming Dipo and Hark learn to play out of position.

Millsap is a easy guy to root for, but not sure Orlando is the place for him right now.

He needs to be on a contender.

I am on record as saying that he is one of the few guys in this FA class that I would like to see us go after. If the price tag is reasonable, he would be a great addition. He is another one of those character guys that brings toughness and does the dirty work. He is 28, so a 4-5 year deal would mean we get him entering his prime and can part ways at the end.

I also think that exploring a trade for Robin Lopez would be wise. He could likely be had rather cheap and he just had what was, by far, his best season. Only 25 years old and has some room to still grow. He will never be his brother on offense but he is better on the boards. Not a long term deal, so we could evaluate what we wanted to do with him and act on it.

BBD to Miami for Philly's 2014 First Round Pick + Joel Anthony + Filler.

Makes too much sense for both sides.

Well, Elhassan is "legit" in that he's an actual ESPN journalist. The rest is obviously conjecture, assuming that his friend has correctly identified Millsap, that Millsap is on his way to Orlando for NBA (specifically Magic) related reasons.

Exactly.

My sources are telling me that Paul Milsap has been dying to visit the Harry Potter World at Islands of Adventure for quite some time now. While in town, he mentioned he would be stopping by Wet n' Wild as well - he loves a good Black Hole.

Rob takes a look at his cell phone...

"Hey Jacque, put Oladipo in at starting PG."
"Hey Alex, make sure the news of this hits ESPN."

So by putting Oladipo at PG that would mean that we have a need for a SG...and we already have Afflalo. Am I following this correctly? If so, it's brilliant lol .

I can't tell if that's an attempt at sarcasm or not... but No. That doesn't mean we have a need for a SG. Not at all.

If we are trying to sell LAC on the idea that Afflalo will fill their need at SG, why would moving Dipo to PG say that we have a SG need? If anything, it reinforces that SG is strong. That AA is so good that we want to play Dipo at PG.

Besides, we have Harkless for futher coverage.

Looking at our possible roster this season W/the Bledsoe/Butler traded added for fun.

Look at the 3 SOLID vets who could potentially be leading the youngsters

Youngsters:
Bledsoe
Oladipo
Harkless
Harris
Vuc
Nicholson
Lamb
OQuinn
Osby

Vets:
Meer
Butler
Davis

I'm just assuming Hedo/Al are gone.

Meer/Butler/Davis certainly know how to set a winning mentality/attitude in a locker room that's for sure & that could go a long way with the youngsters & our future. :D

Kinda OT but question. What were you guys doing at 14 years old? This kid is doing this

I heard about this kid but i've never seen anything from him before but man this kid is incredible if he's really 14 years old. He might get up just as high as Wiggins right now!

Milsap is not exactly anyone's idea of "swimming in the kiddie pool". Which is what was said about the way we'd be looking at FA this year.

LOL just the image itself tells a nice story. Didn't even have to watch the video.

That poor, poor, little white kid. If I were Woods, I would have this as a poster on my wall already.

Interesting about Millsap but with BBD, Andrew Nicholson, and Tobias (playing in spots) you would have to think there is not room for him.
