Defense wins games!

That Dipo, AA, Harkless, jmax lineup is tough!

I wouldn't be too worried about us winning though. IMO it's helping us showcase the value of AA and Meer so Rob can get some value out of them.

That wouldn't work against most teams. One of the Clippers biggest weakness is size. Could you imagine Afflalo trying to defend LeBron all night?

The Clips are a protypical NBA team size-wise. Why would their weakness be size?

Their PG, SG, and SF are on the small side of acceptable for those positions. Look at the length OKC has at those positions. They are going to give them fits. Our 3 guys are even shorter. Afflalo at 6'5" would get torched in the post if he was playing sf consistently.

Why would Harris have to guard SG's?

And it's really not a shame that Harris can't guard SG's he's a SF/PF. NOT a SG/SF/

I know what position he plays and I didnt say anything that even resembles "he has to guard SG's".....I said Harkless can be a glue guy at either position (SF or SG) because Harris could be our secondary ball handler.

They have their own 2014 pick, and Charlotte's 2014 1st round pick(top 10 protected in 2014, top 8 in 2015, unprotected in 2016). These are the only tradable assets they have, IMO.

Would you trade with them? What do you think?

I'd take either. Aim for the Charlotte but be fine settling for their own pick. I'd do it without hesitation.

*Edit- I think Henny trades away some guys and ensures we miss the playoffs.
If we do make the playoffs this will be failed season IMO. We are at least one star player away.

You have to think that if we make the playoffs, one of the guys on our team has already developed into a star player.

My thoughts exactly. To date its been a core of Nelson/Afflalo/Vucevic with Oladipo/Harkless/Nicholson complimenting. Vucevic is playing like a franchise player and we know Nelson/Afflalo are good enough peices to round out a playoff caliber core should Vucevic be making this leap.

Contenders? No. But eventually you replace Nelson/Afflalo with Harris/Oladipo? Or Max FA/Oladipo? Something good cooking there

Don't look now but the Nuggets are winless and the 1-3 knicks are without chandler for 4-6 weeks.

Any chance BOTH of these teams miss the playoffs and we get another lottery pick??

I think for sure one will miss the playoffs. I have a feeling the Nuggets will start trading away pieces at some point this season. I still cannot fathom why they would sign Nate being they already have Miller as a solid backup.

Miller spent all of last season complaining about wanting to be on a contender. The only reason the Nuggets didn't trade him was because they were in the middle of a 57 win season. If anyone leaves, it will be him. I honestly think that the Nuggets will wait until Gallo and Chandler come back before judging this team. When speed teams are missing their two best wings, thing kind of have to look ugly.

I knew about the Nuggets pick, but I didn't know we get the Knicks pick too until I've seen posts about it. So we get them no matter what or there's protections on them? If so that would be absolutely sick to potentially have three lottery picks in this draft. We could package them and move up, or make a deal to get a star player.

Looks like vucevic earned a new fan in skip bayless... kept uttering the name "nikola... vucevic..." many times with a smile on his face throughout first take this morning even thought there was no segment on the Magic. Best part is Skip brought him up to compare his monster performance to Dwight's weak performance against the clippers.

We get the pick from either the Nuggets OR the Knicks, whoever has a better record IIRC. In other words: the worse one.

Wrong. We get the worse of the two.

Wrong. We get the worse of the two.

Ok, thought that seemed too good to be true. Well we got a chance at a good one between those two.

i think it's really cool that Hennigan acknowledged the entire team and coaching staff after the game by giving them a pound on their way to the locker room. He even waited an extra minute or so for Vuc and some of the others who stayed behind. It's little things like that that really make this guy stand out for me. Type of management that you'd want to work for
